Grand Junction at St Mary Magdalene's PCC Progress Re ort, FebruaTh' 2022 Overview Since the full return to the building ￿St-loCkdoWn in June 2021. Grand Junction has continued in its mi.$8ion as a new venue for community. the arts and culture. Our community programme of classes and projects for adults and children, the majority of which went online during lockdown. resumed as in-person activity. Some continued for a while as hybrid classes, giving those nervous of returning to the building an opportunity to still take part. The music and arts programme has continued to grow, with Cjrand Junction continuing to estsblish itself as a unique and upliftiT]g space for music, arts and talks. Another highlight post-pandemic has been the establishment of our volunteer-led tours of the buildin& with seven volun*ers now train￿1 and beginning to le￿ free public tours. The recent start to the conservation work on the St Sepulchre chapel felt like a real achievement, being the culmination of much hard work from the PDTIPCC partnership to push the fundraising

Paje 6 OCHIAL CHURCH sr. MARY MA DA ADDINGro ENDE R 2021 UED past this final capital milestone. The results, particularly the outside of the chapel, are alr&y tangible and have a huge visual impact. There is no doubt that fjtwicially the struggle to stabilise tK)st-Covid will take some time. While emergency funding secured during the pandemic was hugely helpful, the impact for the business plan. and e￿ablIShIng the commercial hires, is serious. That said. bookings are returning, and the direction of travel in this area should see u5 building steadily to a level of commercial hires that are needed to cover overheads and re-invesi in the communlty programme. We are currently in an intense perTod of fundraising for the community pro8ramme. with a number of funded posts and projects coming to an end within the next few month& Finally, we have a really wonderful staff team who approach ihe delivery of our work with energy, enthusiasm and care for those in our community.
