Atnon8St many memorable events that will bc mentioned in this irpoit and at the APCM, 2023 has been an eventful
year in differing ways. In May we had 100 people in church for a Coronation Euoharist followed by a celebration lun¢h
in the hall. June we welcomed Fr. ToEn Ruston to the Parish as curate. Following a brEef stay in Macclesfield, Fr.
Tom and his new wife, Amy, moved into Grange Av¢nu¢ in September. Sadly. Mrs. Judith Woolley, one of our two
Church Wardens died in August, following a short illnes4 the ¢ntiiE Parish is indebted for her deep eommitment,
support and ¢are over many years and the Parith is honouring her legacy by developing the life and mission of the
Church. In Ootober, the Parish elected Mr. David Bolton to serve as a Church Warden alongside Mr. Stephen Taylor,
the Parish is grateful for their generosity ot time and energy.
We were delighted that on¢ of our ¢ongregation, Mr9 C.aiDI Brook8-Johnson was qelected to train for the priesthood at
Emmanuel c.ollege and that Ihc Bishop has allowed Carol lo havc hcr placcmcnt in thc Parish. Wc wclcorned Bishop
Sani to confirEn our eonfmalion ¢andidates at Holy Cros& alongside othei's from a¢iDss the Deonery. Jo tli¢ autvmn,
together with other local churches, we led an Alplw Course at Bi'amley Fam] and finally at Christmas It was very

ThB iTnpact of all the activities of ¢he Porish. noted above in the commentary and re¢(krded in the figures for 2023 is
i'¢flecled in the Porish funds position, with a small reduction in both the Unregtricted Fiinds and Restyicted Funds. The
eOtt]bined position of th¢s¢ two funds moved from a bi￿USht forword opening balance of £719.891 to a closin8 balanc¢
for2023 of£713,151. Within the combined funds the Restricted Fund5 de¢r￿sed fi'om at) openingposition of£124.320

th¢ actual ￿$h balances available to the PCC fil the en¢J of 2023 being £303,842. also noting that over a third of those

b) suthmary. the 2023 fjnancial po8i¢ion saw improvcm¢nt5 in some elements of incoming i'esources, 6ut the5E were

a¢knowledgd that until additional recurrent revenue ¢8n be generated, It is likely that the trend of fundin& bein8 an
outgoing of r¢sour¢es, will mean that th¢ Parish will have to iely on usillg the Unrestricted Funds to bridge any gap
