charltytherefore created an appeal aimed at both the local community and appropriate grant
making charities. In less than nine months nearly £30,000 had been raised or pledged, of which

personal donations accounted for 56Yo (including a significant gift in memory of a donorfs late
husband). Grdnt making charities contributed 44Yo of the total amount raised. Of this, the pledged
sum of £5,000 was from another grant making charity who paid the donation direct to the bell

on personal donations.
The sound of new tenor bell Is now greatly appreciated by the village community.
The charity made a grant of £25,000 to St Andrew's PCC to cover m05t of the cost of the
replacement bell with a small contrlbutlon towards updating the WC to meet current disablllty
standards.
