Leader Training was revamped. includiry a major update of the Student Leader Manual. This
tralning was defivered at Nalional Conference. In collaboralton wilh Olf Iniematlonal body.
International Christian Medical and Dental Assoclatlon (ICMDAI Westem Europe, we also
organlsed the Ir15h Conferenc8 ￿7th a good turnout ofstudents. parti¢uL4rfy from Belfast, Ga￿Vay,
and Dubltn. This led lo an Increase in siLKlent membethip.
We wi a weekltNbg a¢fvert on Prwrier in March 2022, wthich raised Ihe profile of our work

this end. we contin￿1 our work th￿ugh the pUbl￿allOn of varlous resources largelSng our
members ar￿ the wider pubbc. Pubr￿ationS included two Nucleus magazines lor sludents, on
sexuality and beglnnlng of life. The Advocacy Journey (on global health) and Quck Guldes on
gender Identty and Iran$ identification. We also incfeased our online presence wth the
revilalisatlon of our Insta9ram ac￿unt. using it to womote our event5 and raise awareness of
our work. In addilion lo the six'vthy CMF, story vldeos, the 'lmagine' promotional video. and the
nurses and rnith%ives promolbonal video. we also produced 18 'Leadership Toolkit, videos. Vle
produced an Annual Reprmt coverro each ol the five key message5 wlith wè are n(yw laklng

frorn final year students to graduate members. in this area was supported by an online
final year Q&A sesslon at the Junior Doclors. Conference 85 as an FY1 survNal seminar at
Sludent COnfe￿nce 2022. Boih of these events em)uraged our sludenl members and gave
them opportunities to consider how CMF co￿1 support Ihem as they tooked ahead lo b￿mIng
junior doctors. Nearfy half of the sfvdents gradualing li 2022 slgned up for the Welcome
Scheme. Twenty five of S1 students SIgnw￿ up were linked with welcomers or workplace carers

The increase in the level ol our free reseryes at the end of2021 enabled us to invest in a number
of slfate9ic areas. £126.000 was sel as*Je lor investment in several areas of our work over three
years to 2024. incI￿ling boosting our fundrai￿9 and membership engagement, improving our
IT infrastruch*e, and supp(xtiny strateg￿ pather organisations. This an￿)￿1 represents a
drawdown on ourfree reserves. and was part ofa delkltfor 2022. ￿th a wewto r6lurnin9
to a break*ven posltion by 2025.
The Board and management carried out a review of the Reseffts Policy during Ihe year. taking
into account the guidelines fmm Charity Commission. and in Mne wth best practice, uslrKJ a rtsk-
based approach for det8m)Ining the level of free ￿uIdty reser￿ to be hefvj. Thi5 ReseNes
PoliGy VRS approved in May 2021.

concem basis. Trustees have reviewed the ￿c￿lstanceS of the Fellowship and conslder that

trustees a￿ ol the view that the Fellowsh¥i Is a going CO￿eM. Trustees conffirm thal there are
