**Objects:** (1) TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF CARDIOVASCULAR PATIENTS, THEIR CARERS AND FAMILYMEMBERS BY BRINGING TOGETHER SUPPORT GROUPS SO THAT THEY CAN SHAREGOOD PRACTICE AND STREAMLINE CARE PATHWAYS AND TO UNDERTAKE SUCH OTHERACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE CARDIOVASCULAR TREATMENT AND WHERE POSSIBLEITS PREVENTION: AND(2) TO ADVANCE THE PUBLIC'S EDUCATION ABOUT CARDIOVASCULAR CONDITIONS ANDTHE PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED BY PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

**Activities:** 1 Organise conferences and seminars which enhance communications between patients, carers and clinicians. 2 Support studies involving patient/carer input. 3 Develop information relating to cardiovascular issues for patients and carers, including representation on guideline committees for NICE and DoH. 4 Publish leaflets and other materials. 5 Provide a web forum for members to discuss issues.
