## _**Review of activities**_

The Church has continued to move forward during 2020/2021 despite the difficult circumstances in the Nation with so many restrictions due to Covid. Through Jonathan & Helena Croft's leadership the Church has continued to develop into a community, looking out for each other and those within their own communities. The core team continues to help them lead the church.

COVID: This has continued to affect us like every other church during the course of the year. We began our In-Person services again in September, and also continued the live streaming via the YouTube platform. With many restrictions still in place we used a booking in system to ensure we kept accurate records of those in attendance. We ensured that we had a Covid Health and Safety plan in place along with Mary Sumner’s House policy that we sort to adhere to with mask compulsory during the course of the service. With lockdown during November, we went back to live streaming the service with a minimum number of people allowed to be present for this purpose. We sort to return to In-Person services during December but once again during January we decided to cease the In- Person service and went back to live streaming from the Croft’s home. We commenced In-Person Services again at the end of March and have continued to maintain both on line and at Mary Sumner house since then. Numbers haven’t been the same as pre-covid with only half attending in person. We continue to have positive numbers watching online both live and others watching the recording at a time more convenient to them.

We continue to have small groups across London and we also have instigated prayer triplets or prayer quads and this has proved a great way for people to stay connected. We March these meetings have gone onto Zoom or Webex.

We have continued to hold our prayer events online.

We continued to provide financial support to Tony Silverwood unit December and thereafter we began to support Persis Pawlose in India. Persis along with her husband Shajin and the family, run an orphanage and a school, which Jonathan Croft visited some time ago.

Kurt Erickson, a pastor, runs a charity called Church without Walls, a charity that helps the homeless. Kingdom Faith has supported this work throughout the year with a number of the team joining this work on a Saturday Morning in Victoria.

Kingdom Faith church have also partnered with Streetlight UK; a charity looking to help those trapped in prostitution. A number of the congregation have joined this team to help support this work.

## **Financial review**

Income for the year amounted to £139,408 (2020: £136,938) and expenditure £115,578 (2020: £119,276). The surplus of £23,830 was added to fund brought forward, with the year end unrestricted fund balance being £47,123.

## **Going concern**

After making appropriate enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.

## **Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities**

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' report and the financial statements in accordance with the United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice) and applicable law and regulations.

The law applicable to charities requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to:

- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;

- observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP;

- make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

- state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and

- prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.

The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the applicable Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations, and the provisions of the constitution. The Trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Kingdom Faith Church London**

I report to the charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2021 which are set out on pages 6 to 15.

## **Respective responsibilities of Trustees and examiner**

As the charity’s Trustees of Kingdom Faith Church London you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the Kingdom Faith Church London's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Independent examiner’s statement**

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of Kingdom Faith Church London as required by section 130 of the Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
