To bring relief of poverty and sickness and to advance the education of orphans and the poor children of India through the provision of financial assistance, support, education, accommodation, food and medical treatment and to promote, further or support any similar charitable institutions at such time or times and in such a manner as the trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit.

The advancement of education Working under the guidance of the Indian Government to provide extra tuition to approximately 80 of the poorest children in the area. Many of these come from generations of day labourers who have received no formal education at all and still sign documents by means of a thumb print. The advancement of Citizenship or Community
Development and the advancement of health or the saving of lives Orphan Hope (India) have provided funds to build a number of community centres in the rural areas of Bhimavaram which are used as medical centres as well as meeting places for the whole community, one of these is in a leper **Summary of the main activities** colony where most people suffer from leprosy, HIV aids or other illnesses **undertaken for the public** which cause them to be treated as outcasts. During Trustees meetings, all things are discussed in depth and decisions are made as to what areas Orphan Hope (India) can and will help under the guidance of the Charities Commission regarding public benefit.
During our meetings we decide firstly if the funds are available for a need, then if the need is within our objectives as a charity, and then if providing the funds will be of benefit in general

Section D Achievements and performance
## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
Providing free education to a high standard for the poor and needy children of South Eastern India.
All children are provided with free uniforms, shoes, bags, books etc to enable them to attend local government schools full time and use our facilities for extra tuition in the evenings 6 days a week.
All children are still given health checks but no longer routinely vaccinated unless a need is flagged.
Informal education for parents and carers is also provided, along with summer school and home visits.
The Shekinah Centre has now been completed with the extension to the upper floor to include toilets and showers.
Funds have been provided for a number of other community centres to be built or at least part built where funds would not allow for total support.
Many of the community centres are being used as medical centres, drop in centres and sheltered accommodation for the homeless as well as giving extra tuition to the children of the area.
Funds have been provided to buy food and clothing for other orphans within the Andrea Pradesh region.
Within the UK, talks have taken place at local high schools, giving children an insight to what life is like for the poorer people of India.

As a small charity, we raise funds as and when we need them, we do however have in place a policy that allows any build up of finances to be used to help other charitable organisations with similar purposes as seen fit by the trustees at the time.
A number of projects have been brought to our attention but at this time the finances do not allow for them.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31 August 2025**
**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
