Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) We aim to fulfil our objectives and serve our wider local community through the provision of the following activities which are open to all. We hold weekly Services of Public Worship providing Christian Teaching through Sermons, Bible Studies, and Prayer Meetings. There are also weekly services aimed specifically at those from an Asian cultural heritage. We are currently hosting weekly: - Community Café. - ‘Friendship Group’ for older retired people which includes gentle exercise classes involving fun ‘Chairobics’. - • Pilates - Community Choir - Wellbeing Café (monthly). Entertainment and refreshment for those with early-stage dementia and their carers. - Men's club. A fortnightly meeting of games and socials as a contact point for men of all ages. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities** You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; Safeguarding Statement: The church is committed to following the Home Office Code of practice ‘Safe from Harm’ and adopts the guidelines and procedures published by the Wesleyan Reform Union of Churches. - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. **TAR 2023** 2 ## **Section D Achievements and performance** The Church accomplished its main objectives of providing a weekly place **Summary of the main** of Worship and smaller fellowship groups, as well as being open for **achievements of the charity** activities involving all age groups from the local community meeting **during the year** together regularly throughout the year. We participated in the ‘Warm Space’ and ‘Welcome Space’ local government sponsored initiatives. A new fortnightly Men’s club was started in the year.
