## **STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT**
## Objectives and Activities
The trust was established under a trust deed dated 21st June 2009 and was approved by the Inland Revenue Charity division.
The trust is registered with the Charity Commission (registered number 1130941) as a charity whose primary purpose is the advancement of health or saving of lives. The Trust is also registered with the Care Quality Commission.
The Trustees confirm that they have considered the guidance provided by the Charity Commission on public benefit when reviewing the charity's objectives and activities.
## Organisational Structure
The trustees who have served during the year and since the year end are set out on page two.
The trustees meet twice per year and at other times as may be necessary to consider the finances of the charity.
## Trustees Recruitment, Induction and Training
Trustees are recruited from time to time from individuals known to the current trustees and the charity who have an empathy with the charity's aims and objectives.
New trustees are provided with the most recent financial statements, trustee's minutes and a copy of the trust deed. Attention is drawn to Charity Commission publications including 'the Essential Trustee'.
## Achievements and Performance
The charity has continued to have regard to its primary purpose.
## Risk Assessment
The trustees do not consider the charity is subject to any substantial risks beyond the liabilities disclosed in the financial statements and Risk Register of the charity.
## Financial Review
The charity had net expenditure for the year of £26,618 (2023: Net Expenditure £14,514) but are establishing relationships for increased income during 2025.
## Investment Policy
Funds remain placed in current and deposit accounts with National Westminster Bank Plc.
## Reserves Policy
The trustees consider the reserves policy to be satisfactory on the basis of plans for 2025 onwards.
## Plans For The Future
The charity will continue to fulfil its aims and objectives during the coming year subject to funding being available.

## **TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES**
The trust deed require the trustees to prepare annual accounts. Generally accepted accounting principles require these accounts to:
- be prepared on the basis of suitable accounting policies which are consistently applied
- include reasonable and prudent judgements and estimates.
- follow applicable accounting standards and the Charities SORP disclosing and explaining any departures in the financial statements; and
- prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue in operation.
- the trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records which are such to disclose, with reasonable accuracy, the financial position of the charity at any time and to enable them as trustees to ensure that the financial statements comply with charity law. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the charity's assets, and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

## **1 Accounting Policies**
## **(a) Basis of Accounting**
These financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant note(s) to the financial statements.
## **(b) Fund Accounting**
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general activities of the charity.
## **(c) Incoming Resources**
All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial activities when the charity is entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The following specific policies are applied to particular categories of income:
- voluntary income is included in full in the Statement of Financial Activities when received.
- investment income is included when received.
## **(d) Resources Expended**
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any VAT which is reported as part of the expenditure to which it relates.
## **(e) Tangible Fixed Assets**
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful! life:
