The organisation's membership is open to all Sierra Leonean Healthcare Professionals Abroad. The trustees oversee the organisation's day-today operations and seek the views of its members, and volunteers in deciding the activities to be run.
All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits.

Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The relief of sickness and preservation and protection of good health but not exclusively in Sierra Leone, by sending volunteers, to assist in the provision of health care and providing support and equipment to health services.
These activities benefit the people of Sierra Leone.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects

Contribute to improving existing Sierra Leone healthcare policy development and delivery of healthcare provision for the benefit of the people living in Sierra Leone who have little or no access to such health service provisions.

Contribute to reducing the spread of preventable diseases and mortality rates in Sierra Leone in ways that may be thought fit, through education, training, and assistance in providing required resources.

Provide healthcare professionals with career-enhancing information and contribute to raising public awareness on what matters to their health through the independent publication of information on health and healthcare issues, the latest national and international health service news, and evidencebased practice.

Provide humanitarian relief in areas affected by illicit mining/ natural disasters and other man-made atrocities.

Carry out any other business activities, which may be advantageously carried out, in the opinion of the Executive Committee, in connection with, or ancillary to the general business of the organization.

We are grateful for the many hours of our volunteers, including member volunteers, have spent working on all the activities out in Sierra Leone and UK.
Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise we would not have been able to achieve so much .
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year.
Renovation and upgrade of two adopted wards in both Connaught Hospital Freetown and Bo Government Hospital Sierra Leone
In October 2023, we organized and carried out a public health online awareness on the use of substance abuse (KUSH).
Awareness on diabetes and social work activities in Sierra Leone for KUSH victims. In 2024 we carried out public health awareness on diabetes, in the community, including mosques and churches in Bo.
Established a nurse-led diabetes clinic in Bo Government Hospital.
Upskilled two nurses and a midwife now work in the clinic. These nurses and midwife are now train the trainers in the country of Sierra Leone as there is no other such clinic in the whole country. These nurses were seconded by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MoHS).
Supported nurses on International Nurses Day, to promote the Role of Nurses in the healthcare service in Sierra Leone.
Teaching ward Nurses, and students in Bo Government Hospital on general nursing topics.

Responsibilities and basis of As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). report
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under s145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under s145(5) (b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me statement cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached .
