## **Devonport High School for Boys Parent, Teacher, Friends Association Paradise Rd, Plymouth, PL1 5QP** ## **Charity No: 1130846** We are very happy to report that our 2022/23 PTFA year has almost been back to normal - a return to pre-covid days and ways! We have had a very successful year. A Christmas disco, a summer disco and our popular Alton Towers trip sandwiched in between! The Christmas disco was the hottest ticket in town! 786 students caused a gridlock in traffic and filled Pryzm to the rafters. After 3 years it was good to be back - it had been missed. Our Alton Towers trip saw 11 coaches leave in convoy at 5.00am - there were thrills and spills aplenty for our 500 students. As well as these events we have served refreshments at school events, from the 11 plus exams to the school productions. Other fundraisers are our popular framed 11 plus certificates signed by the Headteacher and our academic calendar produced using photos taken by students and entered into our calendar competition. We also receive revenue from ‘Your School Lottery.’ All of these fundraisers have enabled us to buy those ‘extras' for the school. As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination.
