As the committee chair of our adventure playground andnursery, l am honoured to present this end-of-fiF)ancial-year

by the enduring enthusiasm of our children. thededication of our staff and volunteers, and the steadfast support of
ourcommunity. With transparency and gratitude, l offer this account of ourachievements. linances. and aspirations for

This year. the adventure playground and nursery hascontinued it5 mission to provide a safe, inclusive, and
imaginative space forchildren and young people. Despite the ongoing pre55ures faced by communityservices. we

Our dedicated playworkers have delivered an array ofprogrammes designed to nurture curiosity. resilience, and

adventure days in nursery celebrating everythingfrom pirates to space. In addition, our annual summer fair in july
drew morethan 250 attendees and raised valuable funds to SUPPOrt our ongoing work.
A fundamental commitment of our nursery is to adhererigorously to the Early Years Foundation Stage IEYFSI

learning. By embedding the EYFS across our daily practice, wemaintain a nurturing environment where every child is
encouraged to thrive andreach their full potential.
We acknowledge that our recent Ofsted rating did not meetour aspirations, and we share in the disappointment felt
by our community. While the outcome wa5 not what we had hoped for. it serves as a valuableopportunity for growth
and reflection. We are committed to addressing the areashighlighted for improvement and have already implemented
an action plan tostrengthen our pmvision and practice. With the same dedication that underpinsall our work. we will
listen, adapt, and strive to ensure that our settingmeet5 the highest standards. Our goal is to ensure that every child
and familyenjoy5 the very best start and experience at our nursery and playground.Together. with your continued
support. we are confident that we can makemeaningful progress and look forward to sharing positive developments
in thefuture.
Like many community organisations. we have faced challenge5this year, notably inflationary pressures and increased
utility costs. Recruitmentof seasonal staff proved more difficult than in previous years, however wesucceeded in
5sembling a pa55ion3te and skilled team.
Safeguarding remains our utmost priority, with regulartraining and reviews ensuring our policies meet evolving best
practice. We havealso worked to strengthen our risk management procedures, particularly aroundhealth and safety,
data protection, and linancial oversight.
The committee has met regularly throughout the year.reviewing strategic priorities and overseeing progress against
our objectives.Attendance at committee meetings has been strong and l am grateful for thewisdom and energy each
member brings to our govemance.
Our staff and volunteers are the heartbeat Df the playgroundand nursery. Their creativity. patience, and unwavering
commitment have madeevery success Possible.
