We have a wide range of dedicated volunteers who help us to deliver our services especially at large events, our Annual General meeting (AGM) Annual Gala event of Local Heroes and Be Inspired Youth Awards, annual Independence Thanksgiving Service, and other community meetings.

**Summary of the main Nominations/Awards achievements of the charity during the year Links with the Jamaican High Commission** We facilitated links between the Jamaican government and the Jamaican community in Birmingham, evidenced by attendance of the Jamaican High Commissioner at events hosted by the Association such as, service of Praise and Thanksgiving for Jamaica’s Independence service August 2023 and in October 2023 celebrating Local Heroes and the Be Inspired Youth awards. The management board, friends and volunteers have worked hard to deliver the organisation’s aims, objectives, and delivery plans. **Jamaica’s Independence/ Flag Raising** AJN continues to organise a Flag Raising ceremony in celebration of Jamaica’s Independence Day. Our Local Hero’s and The Be Inspired Youth Awards held yearly celebrating National Heritage Week (Jamaica) and Black History Month Held in the presence of local Civic dignitaries such as the LordLieutenant of the West Midlands, The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Andy Street CBE, Mayor of the West Midlands Combined Authority. Over the years we have been addressing the issue of mental health within our community. We have seen an increase in mental health challenges, so we have continued to collaborated with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust, Birmingham City University, local Churches and other service providers to host Mental Health conferences. June 2023, we celebrated the 75[th] anniversary of the Windrush generation and their descendants.

The Charity continues to maintain a small reserve account but hope that this will gradually increase our reserve to be able to contribute towards a building in the future.
