STATEMENT OF PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL'S RESPONSIBILITIES
Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the Parochial Church Council to pr¢pare
financial statements tor each financiaL year which give a true and fair vi¢w of the Church's financial
activities during the year and of its financial w)sition at the end of the year. In preparing financiaL
statements giving a ttue and fair view the Parochial Church Council should follow best practice and..
select suitable accounting wlicies and apply them consistently;
b} rnake judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.

The Parochial Church Council is reS￿nSIble for keeping proper accounting records which disclose. with
reasonable accuracy. the financial position of the Church, and which enable them to both &scertain the
rinancial position of the Church and ensure that the financial statements comply with applicable
regulations. It is also responsible for 5afeguardiDg the assets of the Church and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of frnud and other irregularities.

Respective responsibilities of tru5ttts and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider
that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act)
and that an independent examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act.
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission
(under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act. and
to state whether particular matters have come to our att¢ntion.
Basis of independent ¢xaminers' statement
Our examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of
any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given &$ to whether the accounts
present a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited to those Matte￿ set out in the statement
below.
Independent examine￿, $thtement
In connection ￿ryth our ex8Jnination no material matters have come to our attention which gives
us cause to believe that in, any n]aterial respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
We have come acro&s no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The financial statements have been prepared in ac¢ordanc¢ with applicable accounting standards
under the historical cost convention and on the accruals basis.
Income
Income includes recoverable income tax which has been deducted from payments made to the
charity, or which arkses from donations made lo the charkty under th¢ Gift Aid provision.
Interest
Interest is included on a receivable basis and is shown gross.
