We held three concerts for the public in the
year in April, June and December,
showcasing a wide range of music from
classical to show tunes and popular music. It
Is the policy of the choir to showcase music
written by women composers, whose
comp051tions are more marginalised,
alongside more well known pieces by
composers of all genders.
Most, thou8h not all, members of the choir
are drawn from the LGBT community and
we also supported a number of charitable
events such as a church service to mark
Pride month, and to support other LGBT
choirs in London

We also have a policy of offering additional
grants to choir members who may need
further assistance to allend the choir
festivals in which we participate from lime lo

We support actively events that celebrate
the LGBTQ+ community in this country and
abroad and adopted the charity Rainbow
Mind as the charity of the year. Rainbow
Mind offers members of the LGBTQ+
community support over mental health
issues.
The charity relies overwhelmingly on
volunteers. Apart form the Musical Director
and Assistant Musical Director. all the other
choir members are volunteers lo sing and
carry out all adminislralive. governance and
ublici
tasks.
Although not a grant as such. subscriptions
work on a sliding scale, so members whose
annual income is less pay less and those on
her incomes

Achievements and Performance
SORP reference
The main achievements of the charily are in
the performance of its Goncerts.
In April 2025, it performed a cabaret concert
at the Whealsh6af Hall. Vauxhall, London
with a variety of music by composers as
diverse as Henry Vlll, Clara Schumann and
Jerry Hemian.
The summer concert in June 2025 at Sl
Giles Cripplegate, in the City of London and
the Christmas Concert at Sl Johns Waterloo,
London similarly showed that diversity of
composers including a Prayer for Ukraine by
Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko al the
summer concert and a little known setting of
Psalm 40 by the Austrian composer.

particularly by women composers, is
important in th6 advancement of education
of the
ublic in choral music.

Diversity Choir is one of a number of choirs
for the LGBT community in London and we
liaise with them informally and work
together.
We are also part of a network of LGBT choirs
in this country and throughout Europe and

charlty {'the Trust.) for the year ended 3111212025.
Responsibillties and As the charity trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
basls of report accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (Yh8 Acr).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination. I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5){b} of the Act.
