The �r�s�ees are responsible for preparing �he Tr�s�ees' Ann�al Repor� and �he financial s�a�emen�s in accordance �i�h applicable la� and Uni�ed Kingdom Acco�n�ing S�andards (Uni�ed Kingdom Generall� Accep�ed Acco�n�ing Prac�ice).

The la� applicable �o chari�ies in England and Wales (�he Chari�ies Ac� 2011), req�ires �he �r�s�ees �o prepare financial s�a�emen�s for each financial �ear �hich gi�e a �r�e and fair �ie� of �he s�a�e of affairs of �he chari�� and of �he incoming reso�rces and applica�ion of reso�rces. In preparing �hese financial s�a�emen�s, �he �r�s�ees are req�ired �o:

The �r�s�ees are responsible for keeping proper acco�n�ing records �ha� disclose �i�h reasonable acc�rac� a� an� �ime �he financial posi�ion of �he chari�� and enable �hem �o ens�re �ha� �he financial s�a�emen�s compl� �i�h �he Chari�ies Ac� 2011, �he Chari�� (Acco�n�s and Repor�s) Reg�la�ions and �he pro�isions of �he chari��'s cons�i���ion. I repor� on �he acco�n�s of The Parochial Ch�rch Co�ncil of �he Ecclesias�ical Parish of Hol� Trini�� Ho�nslo� for �he �ear ended 31 December 2020 �hich are se� o�� on pages 2 �o 12.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and independent examiner

The chari��'s �r�s�ees are responsible for �he prepara�ion of �he acco�n�s. The Chari��'s �r�s�ees consider �ha� an a�di� is no� req�ired for �his �ear �nder sec�ion 144 of �he Chari�ies Ac� 2011 (�he - Chari�ies Ac�) and �ha� an independen� e�amina�ion is needed. The chair��'s gross income e�ceeded �250,000 and I am q�alified �o �nder�ake �he e�amina�ion b� being a q�alified member of ACCA.

1 Accounting policies

The principal acco�n�ing policies are s�mmarised belo�. The acco�n�ing policies ha�e been ap-plied consis�en�l� �hro�gho�� �he �ear and �he preceding �ear. The �ransi�ion �o FRS 102 has res�l�ed in no changes in acco�n�ing policies �o �hose applied pre�io�sl�.

1.1. Basis of accounting The financial s�a�emen�s ha�e been prepared in accordance �i�h Acco�n�ing and Repor�ing b� Chari�ies: S�a�emen� of Recommended Prac�ice applicable �o chari�ies preparing �heir acco�n�s in accordance �i�h �he Financial Repor�ing S�andard applicable in �he UK and Rep�blic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effec�i�e 1 Jan�ar� 2015) - (Chari�ies SORP (FRS 102)), and �he Chari�ies Ac� 2011. 1.2. Cashflow The Chari�� has �aken ad�an�age of �he e�emp�ion in FRS 102 from �he req�iremen� �o prod�ce a cashflo� s�a�emen� beca�se i� is a small en�i��. 1.3. Fund accounting The �nres�ric�ed f�nds are f�nds a�ailable for chari�able p�rposes �i�hin �he objec�i�es of �he Chari��. The res�ric�ed f�nds are f�nds �hich are �o be �sed in accordance �i�h specific res�ric�ions im-posed b� donors or �hich ha�e been raised b� �he Tr�s� for par�ic�lar p�rposes. The cos� of raising and adminis�ering s�ch f�nds are charged agains� �he specific f�nd. 1.4. Income

All incoming reso�rces are incl�ded in �he s�a�emen� of financial ac�i�i�ies �hen �he chari�� is en�i�led �o �he income and �he amo�n� can be q�an�ified �i�h reasonable acc�rac�. The follo�ing specific policies are applied �o par�ic�lar ca�egories of income:

Vol�n�ar� income is recei�ed b� �a� of gran�s, dona�ions and gif�s and is incl�ded in f�ll in �he s�a�emen� of financial ac�i�i�ies �hen recei�able. Gran�s �here en�i�lemen� is no� condi�ional on �he deli�er� of a specific performance b� �he chari��, are recognised �hen �he chari�� becomes �ncondi�ionall� en�i�led �o �he gran�.

Dona�ed ser�ices and facili�ies are incl�ded a� �he �al�e �o �he chari�� �here �his can be q�an�ified. The �al�e of ser�ices pro�ided b� �ol�n�eers has no� been incl�ded. Gif�s dona�ed for resale are incl�ded as incoming reso�rces �i�hin ac�i�i�ies for genera�ing f�nds �hen �he� are sold. Income from in�es�men�s is incl�ded in �he �ear in �hich i� is recei�able.

1.5. Expenditure

E�pendi��re is recognised on an accr�al basis as a liabili�� is inc�rred. E�pendi��re incl�des an� VAT �hich canno� be f�ll� reco�ered, and is repor�ed as par� of �he e�pendi��re �o �hich i� rela�es.

Cos�s of genera�ing f�nds comprise �he cos�s associa�ed �i�h a��rac�ing �ol�n�ar� income and �he cos�s of �rading for f�ndraising p�rposes.

Chari�able e�pendi��re comprises �hose cos�s inc�rred b� �he chari�� in �he deli�er� of i�s ac�i�i�ies and ser�ices for i�s beneficiaries. I� incl�des bo�h cos�s �ha� can be alloca�ed direc�l� �o s�ch ac�i�i�ies and �hose cos�s of an indirec� na��re necessar� �o s�ppor� �hem.

S�ppor� cos�s are �hose cos�s inc�rred direc�l� in s�ppor� of e�pendi��re on �he objec�s of �he chari�� and incl�de projec� managemen�.

1.6. Tangible fixed assets and depreciation

Tangible fi�ed asse�s are s�a�ed a� cos� less acc�m�la�ed deprecia�ion. Deprecia�ion is pro�ided a� ra�es calc�la�ed �o �ri�e off �he cos� less resid�al �al�e of each asse� o�er i�s e�pec�ed �sef�l life, as follo�s:
