The principal activity of the Foundation 15 to provide bursaries and other financial suptXSrt to current and prospective
pupils oFAshville College who would otherwise be unable to attend the College.
The Foundation meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS102. The Trustees confiim that they have had
regard to the guidance conrained in the Charity Commission's genernl guidance on public benefit when rèviewing thè
Foundation's aims and objective and in planning attivities.

The main focus in the yeèr to 31 August 2021 has been continuing to provide additional support to Ashville pupils and
families in need affected bythe ctsronavirus pandemic. through the provision of bursaries to cover school fees. Durin8
the year the Foundation provided support to1301 pupils.
Flnanclal Review
The Foundation, with the support of Colle8e staff. has also been aciNe in irying to increase the awareness of the
Foundalion and its activities. Total income for the year was £123.52012020-. £350,585), which included a donation
of £IOO,OQ) from Ashville College.
AeseNes Pollcy
The Dirertors, policy is to maintain sufficient reserves at the yearond to cover thè Foundation's commitment5 forthe
following year. At 31 August 2021 the reserves were £411.89112020.. £326.9761 and this was sufficiènt to cover thè
commitments made for the acadernic year 202V22.

Thè tharity is governed by the memorandum ènd artides of association incorp￿ated 29 April 2(J)9.

I report to the trustees on my examinaiion of the accounts of the Ashville Fotjndation (the Company) for the year
ended 31 August 2021.

for the preparatton of the accounts in accordance with the requirernents of the Companies Act 2W61'the 2006 Act'l.
Having satisfied myself that the account5 of the Cornpany are rK)t required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006
Aci and are eligible for independent examination. I report in respect of my examination of your charity's account5 a5
carried out under 5eciion 145 of the Chacities Act 20111.the 2011 Act'l. In carrying out myexamination I have followed
the Directions given by the Charity Commission under sert40n 145151 Ibl of the 2011 Act.
Basis of Independent examinerfs
My examination was carried oul in accordance with the general ￿'rectionS 8iven by the Charity Commi55ion. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. 113lso includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and
seekin8 explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do riot provide
