It gives me great pleasure in presenting the annual report for Hidaiyat-ul-Muslimin Trust for the year ending March 2021.

Hidaiyat-ul-Muslimin Trust has continued to strive to be the source of inculcating Islamic values and Shariah principles in the area so that we can set a good example for others in the wider community.

Our main aim has always been to focus on the practical aspects of serving the community. While it remains relatively easier to practice these values within homes and our community, we still need to focus on setting examples, and promoting Islamic principles and values in the wider arena. This will ultimately lead to a better understanding of Islamic values within the wider community. Although challenging in the current environment, this is an area that we must continue to put our efforts towards. The trust will be developing an active work stream on how this area can be developed further.

The trust continue to develope a strong partnership with other faith groups, other Muslims organisations both locally and nationally. By doing show our main aim is to harness good community relations. Also by building strong working relationship with others it will set a sound foundation to jointly work on future initiatives.

The Trust strives to contribute to the sharing of knowledge about Muslim aspirations and needs at all levels of public and statutory agencies, amongst professionals and within the wider community.

Since the launch of the trust Website, we have continued to post important messages so that the wider community remains inform of any developments. Also, speeches and important events continue to broadcast through our website and receiver system. We also taken out licence for E live Masjid App, this allows users to listen to broadcast via the app through their mobile devices. This is another example of the Trust embracing use of social media to reach out and engage with the community who are unable to attend the Masjid. This all add to the aim of making services provided by the Trust accessible for those who are unable to attend the masjid physically. There is a commitment from the Trust to embrace new technologies to enhance the services provided by the trust.

Services Provided

The trust continues to provide the provisions so that the Muslim community can continue to offer their daily 5 times prayers, Friday prayers and Eid prayers with congregation. The numbers attended have been growing over the years. Despite this increase we continue to accommodate all those who attend and there is ample capacity to cater for far more individuals on a daily basis. We also provide additional time slots for Friday prayers to accommodate the community with different work commitments. The numbers attending both First and Second Friday Prayers has seen a marked increased from previous years. Other Service provided by the trust is bereavement and funeral services, reducing the stress and burden at difficult time for members of our community. The trust continues to work in partnership with Manchester Burial Trust to ensure full support is provided to families during a traumatic and stressful time.

Again, throughout the year the trust continued to invite respected scholars to provide advice and guidance to the local community. These have been well received and based on previous years feedback there was a need to increase in the services provided in English. As covid related restrictions have eased Trust has started to hold monthly programmes on specific topics with facilities provided for both male and female members of the community. Another work stream that

we are hoping to expand on is working with health professional on holding health and wellbeing seminars. Recently one was held on healthy eating and exercise. There are plans to hold further sessions on mental health and addictions. Again this work is at an early stage which will be develop in the coming year.

Also, different events have been held throughout the year focusing on the needs of the youth in our community and further strengthening the relationship and links with the wider community of Old Trafford.

Ramadhan

The month of Ramadhan continues to be a focal point for all Muslims and we are pleased to say like previous years even this year the months of Ramadhan, brought great benefits for our local community.

Like previous years we need to extend our special thanks to our resident Scholars who continue to serve our community with such dedication and sincerity throughout year.

Again, a sincere thanks to the Huffaz who lead the Taraveeh Salats during Ramadhan. Credit to them any many of them are young and despite their college and university commitments they continue to come forward every year without any hesitation in leading late night Taraveh.

The trust continues to provide additional facilities for those students who are unable to lead Tarveeh in the main congregation. Separate arrangements again were made where Huffaz of the pass were able to lead Tarveeh in small groups, which assisted them in ensuring that their memorisation of the quran remains to a high standard. This prove to major success and therefore this area was extended and approx. 30 Huffaz in small group of 5 made use of these facilities.

Financial Position .

Attached to this report is the annual account for our Trust. Our Trust financial position remains stable. As you will note the trust income is dependent on voluntary contributions and trust relies on these contributions to meet it daily expenses. It is only with these donations the trust has been able to meet all its running cost and continues to serve the community. This is vital source of income and without this the trust would not be able to provide the services.

Therefore, we extend our thanks to all those who have contributed generously. All members are requested to continue with their kind donations.
