the Charity for the year endin8 31" December 2022. The financial statements have been prepared on the
accounting policies a5 Set out in note I, and comply with the Charitvs Trust Deed Applicable Law and the
requirements of the siatement of Recommended Pr3Ctice"Accounting and Reporting by Charities."

Gomer Faith Ministries is a non-denominational Churth, which was registered as a charity on 25, June 2009. It
is governed by a Declaration of Trusi. sealed on the 2 November 2LX)7 and operates in accordance with its
Constitution.
The policy and operating decisions of the Charity rest with the Trustees who meet fegularly to monitor the
activities of the Trust.
Recruitment and A
oin
ment of Tlustees
New trustee5 are appointed by the Elder5 of the Churchlthe Trustees.
A minimum of three tru5tee5 are required by the Declaration of Trust unless one of the trustees is a tntst
corporation. Trustees are appointed or removed by a maiority vote of all tru5tee5 present.
New trustees are provided with a copy of the declaration of trust and the constitution together with the latest
report and accounts and are expetted to attend appropriate 5eminais. meetings and conference5 held in the
vear.
Trustee Induction and Trainin
The tru5tee5 are already familiar with the practical work of the Charity having been involved in other capa¢ities
or because of experience gained in their own churthes or organisations.
New trustee5 are provided with a copy of the Oedaraiion of Trust and the Constitution, together with the latest
report and accounts. They are expetted to attend appropriate seminars. meeting5 and conferences held
throughout the year.
an5Sational Structure
At meetin8S, the Trustees agree the broad strategy and areas of artlvkty foi the Charity, including consideration
of grant making applications, investment, reserves and risk management policies and performance.
The Chaiity consists of Gomer Faith Ministries. The overseer of the Charity is Pastor Michael A Lewis who is also
a Trustee. The day to day administration of the Charity is delegated to the Pastor and the Administrator. The
trustees wish to express their sincère appreciation and thanks to all volunteer5 and supporters for their
dedication and hard work.
Risk Mana
ement
The trustees have continued to assess the major risks to which the Charity is exposed. in particular those related
to the operations and finances of the Charity. The trustees are satisfied that adequate systems are in place to
mitigate exposure to major risks. In addition. a Ctiwd-19 Risk Assessment has been created for its member5
safety and according to 8overnmÈnt guideline requirement.

Objectives of the Charity
The objectives of Gomer Faith Ministries are to promote the Kingdom of God through Christian faith and values,.
and to a55i5t individuals and families io live effective and successful lives. Our values are entrenched in our very
clear mission to restore families and change lives. We aim to achieve this goal through weekly sermons and
teaching5, which aTe held on Sunday mornings in conjunction with weekly Bible Sludy and Prayer Meeting5.
Other ministry groups have beèn created ro specifically target the needs of our growing congregation. These
groups include Toddler5 aged 2-4 years. Sunday school for children aged 4-9 years, junior Ministry for ages 9-14
years and Youth Ministry for young people aged 15-18 years.
For new converts we offer specially designed classes called Milk io Meat. We also have both a Women's and
Men's, Ministry whith aims to provide a support network for spiritual growth. There are topical seminars to
address rnatter5 5Uth as core family values also held throughout the year. There 15 a well stablished annual
Family Focus conference wilh invited speakers of distinction.
Review of Activities
The Trustees, Elders and Members of Gomer Faith Ministries are committed to,'restorin8 families and changing
lives., One of the way5 that the ministry rèaches out to the wider community is via a weekly one hour radio
programme. The show addresses topics of concern such as.. familyvalues. parenting,. confidence building, career
choices.. fear, spiritual growth and community involvement. We aim to unravel the complexities of these issues
and suggest a range of prartical 501ution5 for Christians and non-christians alike.
Throughout the year respected speakers of note were invited to minister Sermons, run training Wofkshops on
general topics of interest as well as Ctsfrent socio-political issues. The speakers eloquently dissect the Word of
the Lord, foi all audiences and levels of understanding. Church members. visitors and invited community gve5ts
have found it informative. 5UPPOrtive and ernpowerin
Corpofate Prayer and Fasting was held in January. April and again in September.
With our new premise5 at Destiny Centre which we share w¥th other churches. we begin church at 13:00 to
14.'30 with time for fellowship afterwards. We a150 have the Space available evèry other Ffiday which is used
for Worship practice.
International Women's Day in March was recogniseil in March as well as Motherfs Day.
The Annual Easter program was held in April live on YouTube with the Easter Sunday service led by Pastor
Michael. The theme was The Ultimate Price. The week began on Monday with Prayer and Fasting every day until
Thursday using the theme of the sermon from scriptures and in prayèrs.
In June we began to organise our Back-itrschool programme now renamed the Aruka Fund to have committed
sponsors to donate money for backpack5, Stationery. and uniform5 to families in need. We a150 celebrated
Father'5 Dav.
In September we presented the Marriage Serninar 24125" Septernber, theme "Understanding the Marriage
Covenant". As we drd last year, we record￿ part of this seminar professionally with TMH Media which then
aired it for us. We also invited different couples in the church to discus5 what they felt wa5 important in their
relationship. It was a very SUC￿$$fUl weekend.
We also used TMH Media in October when we recorded Family Focus held on 2V23rd October with the theme
"Protert Your Familf. A8ain. a very successful weekend.
In November the church held a Thanksgiwng and Appreciation Service to celebrate and give thanks for our New
building and time at Destiny Centre and for the Lord's glace on our church family. We invited several people

who are partners with us as well as Yvette and Robèrt from Destiny Centre as we appfeciate our relationship
with them.
For Christm85 we celebrated the Saviourfs birth with a wonderful Carol Service and giving Christmas presents to
the Children. The service was enjoyed by all.
The Chur
Gomer Faith Ministries continues to grow at a stea(ty flow of young new Believers.
The Toddler group. with a regular cohort of five children- Sunday school and Youth Ministry continue to grow in
umber and spiritual development.
The Mission
Thè ministry made a donation to Pastor Birkett Bennett for his mission to Kènya in Ortober.
Public Benefit
We have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission's General Guidance on public benefit
when reviewing our aim and objectives and in planning our future activities. In particular, The Trustees consider
how planned attivities will contribute io the aims and objectives they have set.
Total receipts for the year were £61.043 and total payments for the year were £53,285 givin8 a net surplus for
the year of £7.758.

Charity Law requires us as Trustees io prepare financial statements for each accounting year which record the
receipts and payments of ihe Charity for the year.
We are responsible for keeping proper account records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the
financial position of the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities
Act 1991. In preparing the accounts. the Trustees should follow best practice and confirm that they have=

Governance cosl includè those costs associated with meeting the Constitutional and statutory
Requirements of the charity and include the Independent Examiners fees and costs linked to the strategic
