Achlevements ond Performanco
2024 h8s been a signrficant yeai at St Paul's. as we celebrated 150 yeafs Since the first service was held here
on Ascension Day, 1874. WB marked this rnilestone with an evening event to look back on all that has
happened in and from the church 8cross this time, and heard from people who were part of St P8uI's many
dècades ago. There was gie8ijoy 8$ we celebrated God's faithfulness overBII 150 year8 sofar. We 8180 hoste

We are groteful to have an excellent rgiationship with the church school. and one of the highlights this year
has been the conts.nued work our children's ministers and volunteer5 have done there. In particular. we ran
our first Ventures weekend jointly with the Church Pastoral Aid Society- This is an optional residential trip for
Year 4 children from the school. where they have the chance to investigate th8 claim that jesus fose trom the
dead. Forty children attended, and we are now hoping to run this annually.
St Paul's role as a Mlsslon Hub has begun to take a clearer shape thls year. Eleanor Jeans started a learning
pathway for lay leaders of New Woishipping Communities INWCS) across the dioc88e in partnership with

Myriad. They have six teams on board. all starting groups or churches to reach new people in new ways with
God's love. It was particularly exciting in Decemberto seethe team frorn St Paul's start'Hope'_ a new church
Service that meets in the church school and is principally aimed at those connected with or living in the
geographSc81 area of the school. They run a relaxed. informal and interactive servlce that involves worship,
pr8yer 8nd 8ibl& teaching (usually through discussion) followed by enjoying food together.
Another way we give from St Paul's is through Jonathan's vaiious roles in the wider church. He is the Area
Dean of Warwick & Learnington, Chair of Coventry Oiocesan Evangelical Fellowship, and a member of
General Synod Ithe Church of England's national governance body). This year, he was also a rnember of the
Crown Nominations Commission lor Coventry Diocese- Involved in choosing the next Bishop of Covéntry.
An Important part of church Ilfe at St Pa¢Jl'8 continues to be ourweeklv
services. ministries and small groups where people gather to pray.
worship and learn from the Bible together. Across 2024, we saw about
100 people leave the chureh - some moving to other 8reas. and Some
called to serye in other churches Ioc811y. At the same time. about 150
people have joined the church. Some of these newcomers have not
been to church before, and il has been a privilege to see them growing
in faith. Others have moved to the area, and some have joined us from
othei churches. Overall, our worshlpping community has grown to
aroulld 550 adults and 250 children and young p&ople. One couple
who recently joined us said, 'Your church oozes togetherness and joy
and a wonderful sense of the Lord walking omongst his people, We
pralse God for h19 piasence among us.
Sunday momlnR sefmon
As wlth every year. 8 partlcular hlghlight has been the baptism5 and
confirmations. In June, Bishop Ruth (Acting Bishop of Coventry)
confirmed a wonderful group of eight people Irom our church famlly-
Steve and Sally, Mohan and Geelha, Bianca. Desmond and Miu, and
Lizzle. We also celebrated Iltteen baptlsms and on8 re-enactment of
b8Ptlsm vows this year. each one 8 wondetlul joy and a privilege to
celebrate together.
The huge varlety and quantity of mlnlstry and outreach at St Paul's
requlre5 resourclng, and we are full of 8we and gr8tltude for how the
Lord has provided for our financial needs this year. We started 2024
with an expected deficlt of around £75k by the end of the year.
However. through miraculous provision 8nd the generous glvinE of
church memb8rs. we finished the year with a surplus. We praise God.
who generously provides all we need forthe work he calls us to do. More details about our finances this year
Can be found towards the end of this report.
Finally. we are privileged to be a part of a wonderful church family here at St Paul's. None of the groups and
avents described in th8 next section could happen without the generous glving of tlme, care. creativity,
leadership. resources and love that so many church mernbeis pour into the ministries they ar8 involved in.
Thank you for all you do. and we thank God for each on8 of you.

Another aspèct of our ehildren's minlstry is our relationship with the
church school. This year was an important one, as the school had its
long overdue SIAMS visit - the Statutory Inspection of Angli¢8n and
Methodist Schools. We were p8rticularly thrilled that the report high-
lighted that'the exceptionally strong pÈrtner3hip with the loeal church
enriches the work of this school. This is 8 partnership that has been
built over many years, by many members ol church and school staff.
