The Prior period adjustments reloted to a change in policy on the recognition of restricted project income in line with Ihe
Charity SORP treatment. Previously the income was recognised over the period of the fvnding agreements. typically
three years. with the in¢ome recognised each year in line wf(h the receipt on the anniversary of the date of the
agreement. The Charity believes that entiuement is provided by the agreemen( and so in accordance with the Charty
SORP the income should be recognised on i￿￿ption of the agreement with the corresponding debtor included wthin
accrued income.
The effect of th8 prior period adjustment is to record £570,000 income prior to the start of the comparative pencil, with
a corresponding increase to accrued income as al 31 August 2018. In 2019 a net increase of £2,745,000 in income is
re¢oJnised, with a corresponding increase to accrued income as at 31 Augusl 2019.
