September, we refreshed Qui service pattern.. movingthe 8am Hotycommunion to 8=45am, and relaunching the evening service as The

the year, Dumbers of under 16s on Sundays hlgher than a year ago. Church attendance hascontlnued to grow steadity throughout
the year. Ma￿nE declined substantlally due to Coyid. attendance ended the yÈ8r tltssèto the pre-cts￿d average.

The Coffee Shop CO￿NueS to Bo from strength to strength, brllllantly led by Lynne Wrw, Lizzle Extance. and thetr team of volunroers.
While the Pccwere Comfortable underwrlvng thecoffee Shop because of the slgnfficant mlnlstry It ￿preSents. in 2023 the café ende£l
the year in surplus. Management ol the Falrtrade shop continued underthe core of Sallychedgey and Nkky Parsons, supported by 8
team of volunteer> The shop raised £4.989.

Our church Hardship Fund has been u5Èd at different timesin the year to provlde support and food vouchers for local families, with
distribution at Christmas.
We held two Grft Days In the year. The first in March wès for local rnission and enabled us to recruit Jonny. Jacob, and Torn, while the
second in Octoberwas for a CDmmunity Garden project led by our mission partners in Santa Cruz Bolivia. We also supported CAP and
MATRIX duringour Chrlstmas seTvi¢es and raised £637.
We are grateful to Simon Ritchle. Sally and Ruth, and all who have enabled our w@h￿te and wial rnedia accounts to be ongoln8 means
of good communScallon. We have contlnuedto produce our monthly'Qutlook' magazine for the congregation and contributed regularlv
to the local Stoughton Pages. We continue to produce ourweekly church newsletter. At Easterand CIYi5tmas we woduced our Link
Ma8azine whlch was di#ributed to all the homes in the parish. Atthe end of 2023. Liz and Simon Deutsch joined Simon Ritchle In
revlewing our communication5 Strategy. With work ongolng Into 2024.
We continue to be grateful to all of our volunteers_ The FabrK Team cares for our bulldln8s. Our sound projection teams
enable OUK worship on Stsnday, as do our wdcomers, readers, counters. intercessions team, aNI tea & coffeeteams. Rogersmlth played
the organ for the lasttime at our Christma5 setvlces, after many years of faithful serwice. Our Sunday children's and youth group
volunteEf5 invest in the next8eneratlon. as do our mid-week ministytearnsforTeddle4 Klds Allve. and Youth Club, as well a5the OpeTr
the 8ook teaTn and those 8olng Into the lo¢al schools each week. We are gratefijl too to our Frlendshlp Club. Here Hear Clinic, and
PensIon￿5 Lunch teams, who carelorthe Seniors in our communlty. TowardsthÈ end of the year Pen*oneTS' Lunth ev0￿ed into
'Festive Feasts,, and we are grateful to the ongoing hard work of the team to cootinue thss ministry in a new fomi. So many hours serving

Our chufch grounds have continued to be cared for by the volunteer gardening team. and flower èrrangernentsfor our worshlp area are
provided by our flower team of volunteers headed up byjoanie Watts and 8rend& Fox. Particular thanks to all who worked so hard fo
the flowerfe5tival in September, which engaged a large number of people frotn around the cornmunlry.
In September, our PCC unaNmouslya8reed to enter into a partnership with St Francis We5tborough and St Claie's Park Barn. An Interlm
comrnittee ha5 been meeting since then representing all three churches. to discem what the loTrg-terrn Shape of th￿5 partnership might
k)ok like, and we hève begun a lÈgal tonsult4tion around becoming one united parish. Thanks to all of those from Ernmanuel who have
sited St Clare's and St Francis Since September to preach andlor lead 5eTvice% 5UPPOrtingthe con8re8ations there in the Interim period
until we areable to send teamsto revitalise both churches for the lon8Èr term.
As we look forward Into 2024, we movefrorn focusing OLrtward to our community to a 5ea50n of Growing To8ether a5 a church familv.

Unrestrirted Funds
These con515ts of the Pccgeneral lund supportingthe regularwork of the parish Ch￿rch and the maintenance otthe parish church and the
three housesowned bythe parish. The youth workers, thechlldren and familles worker. the administratlon stèff and the t¥vo cleaners are
pald dirertty from the 8e¢)eral fund, with the Vitar and Curate's salary paid throtsgh the Partsh Share contribution. Back In 2019. the PCC
agreed to splStthe plot of 12 Grange Close and build another property to make us m¢ye fifiandally seture from the abillty to rent oui tfr
property. The final instalment was paid in 2022 and 15 now rented out. New designated funds this year are the Westborough Park Bam
Fund to support their works and the Parish Ops Fund, funded by the Diocese reducing our Parish Share as a result of us supwrting St
Frances and St c￿re5.
