## ANNUAL REPORTS

SEPTEMBER 2022 - AUGUST 2023

## **Wives Club Report September 2022- July 2023**

After the Summer break our meetings resumed on 12[th] September with Tea, nibbles and a conundrum quiz.

The following week was cancelled because of our dear Queens funeral. Our minister Steve lead our AGM. The committee was happy to continue. So, many thanks to Helen and all who make our weekly meetings possible, Special thanks to Linda and Barbara, our tea hostesses.

Our talks included The British Heart Foundation, seated Zumba, Heather from the Elim Church, Food Bank, Origami and Gentle Exercise.

We were invited to the Silver Threads Club for a musical afternoon. In June Silver Threads came to us to hear a very enjoyable programme from the Cloud 9 Choir. The Christmas lunch was at The Kirtlington Golf Club.

Other Activities were Colouring cards, Favourite Music, Games with Troy from Age UK a Cream Tea and Coronation Memories.

We gave donations to Silver Threads, Hope in Action, Air Ambulance and The Church.

New members are always welcome, come and see us on Monday afternoons in the Rainbow Room.

Joan Francis

## **Christian Aid**

The only appeal during this period was during Christian Aid week when a cheque for £340 was sent to CA.Other emergency appeals were held but they fell outside the relevant period.

Regards Beryl Mann.

## **Pastoral Report for the period of September 2022 to August 2023**

Throughout this time, due to the Covid pandemic, Rev’d Steve, myself and various church members continued to keep a “watchful, caring and supportive eye” to meet the needs of our church fellowship. The Spotlight magazine continued to be printed monthly and was available in church or on-line.

During this period Rev’d Steve welcomed 11 new members onto the church membership role.
