**Objects:** A) TO ADVANCE THE WORK OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCHES IN ESSEX AND EAST LONDON BY THEADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION, RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND SICKNESS, AND THEADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS ARE CHARITABLE ACCORDING TOTHE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES. THE ASSOCIATION SHALL SEEK TO FURTHER THESE OBJECTS BY:= FACILITATING COMMON WITNESS TO THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION BY THE CHURCHES;= PROVIDING MEANS OF CONSULTATION BETWEEN THE CHURCHES;= WORKING IN CO-OPERATION WITH OTHER ECUMENICAL BODIES.

**Activities:** Supports & promotes Christian unity & mission by building relationship across denominations, traditions & streams of the Christian community.  It supports Local Ecumenical Partnership churches, workplace chaplains, churches together groups, newer networks and coordinates the Bradwell Pilgrimage & Gathering.  Facilitates other joint missional opportunities & work associated with such a committee.
