The charity keeps local carers effectively involved in local decision making. It enables carers to give each other emotional and practical support. It promotes employment opportunities for carers. It supports more specialised local carers groups. As a wholly independent body it works together with local politicians, health and social workers and others in the interest of all local carers.

Objects: In Provide Carers (Persons Regardless Of Age Or Gender, Whose Own Life Is Affected By Providing Care And Support To A Child Or Adult Relative, Friend Or Neighbour Who Cannot Manage, Daily Life Because Of Illness, Disability 0R Frailty) In The Rochdale Metropolitan Borough (The Area Of Benefit), By The Provision Of Information, Advice And Guidance To Enable Them To Be Active In Society & To Avoid Isolationthe Relief And Support Of Carers By Facilitating A Carer's Forum That Will Aid Carers To Develop Their Role In Care Decision-Making Processes And To Work Co-Operatively With Local Providers And By Researching Gaps In Provisions For Carers Thereby Developing Strategies And Funding In Secure Long Term Support In Order To Fulfil Carers Support And Development Needs
