Annual Report of Thornton Methodist Church 1* September 2024 — 31 August 2025

Over the past year, we have been exploring how we can be a Church that welcomes all — and when we say all, we mean all! This is why we’ve added the ‘all’ to our strapline and committed to work together as TEAM TMC, a place where Together Everyone Accomplishes More. We know in the life of our Church, we have a TEAM of people working hard in serving Jesus and the community, so it felt the right time to affirm this chapter of TEAM TMC in the life of our Church.

We continue to give thanks for the many activities in the life of our Church, such as Bible Study, the Coffee Stop, Craft Group, Sensory Stay and Play, Mid-week and Contemporary Worship, and for the community groups that regularly use our premises. Our worshipping life each week that underpins all that we do at TMC, not only on a Sunday but through supporting bereaved families, celebrating Baptisms and the love we offer to all members of our community. All this and so much more make up a range of aspects of the life of the Church that we continue in our journey as disciples of Jesus.

We continue to build our links with and support our local community of Thornton, through our local Care Homes and Schools, engaging with community groups and being a part of Churches Together in Thornton. We continue to value being part of the North Fylde Circuit, enjoying worshipping and learning together as a Circuit, especially as the life of our Circuit continues to develop and change.

As the Minister, as always, | want to give thanks to all at TMC who offer their time, talents, gifts, and resources in service to the Church and to God’s mission, through whom we can continue ‘Loving God and Loving All People’

Rev’d Katie Leonowicz, Minister of TMC, January 2026.
