These services<br>provide a meaningful opportunity for Christians<br>of Gujarati origin to worship the Lord Jesus<br>Christ in their native language and to enjoy<br>fellowship with one another in a culturally<br>familiar setting.<br>In addition to the regular Sunday services,<br>various families hosted thanksgiving gatherings<br>and celebratory meetings throughout the year.<br>These events, held immediately after church<br>services, were open to all members and included<br>fellowship meals and refreshments. They have<br>consistently<br>drawn<br>increasing<br>attendance,<br>reflecting the growing engagement and unity<br>within the community.<br>To further support the spiritual needs of<br>members, GCFUK conducts weekly Skype<br>prayer meetings every Saturday at 9:00 PM.<br>Additionally, two Bible study groups meet every<br>Friday from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM—one in<br>Hounslow and the other in Wembley. These<br>sessions run throughout the year and have<br>become a vital space for scriptural learning,<br>spiritual growth, and mutual encouragement.<br>Through these regular gatherings, members<br>continue to experience the transforming power<br>of God in their lives,becomingliving|

|In addition to its regular Sunday worship|
|services, GCFUK supports a range of ministries|
|tailored to specific age and gender groups|

|Men's, Women's, Choir, Youth, and Children's|
|ministries. Each group leads special themed|
|services throughout the year, such as Men’s|
|Sunday, Children’s Sunday, Choir Sunday,|
|Women’s Sunday, and Youth Worship Sundays,|
|fostering deeper engagement and spiritual|
|growth within their respective communities.|
|The church also commemorated key Christian|
|festivals with reverent and joyful gatherings,|
|including Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and|
|Christmas Day services. Seasonal celebrations|
|such as house carol visits, Christmas Eve|
|services, and Watch Night services were hosted|
|at members’ homes, where the congregation|
|assembled in a spirit of unity and celebration.|
|To mark the beginning of the calendar year,|
|GCFUK organised a New Year’s Day service|
|and celebration, which was attended with great|
|enthusiasm and heartfelt devotion by members|
|of the congregation.|
|**_Annual family picnic_**|



GCFUK organised a family day trip for members 



|to West Wittering beach on 27th July 2024. Over|
|---|
|90 members took part in this outing. GCFUK|
|offered seats at a subsidised rate to it's members|
|& also, free seats were made available to those|
|members who were keen to participate but|
|unable to afford the cost.|
|**_Holy Week Meetings_**|
|During Passion Week, GCFUK hosted a series of|
|evening gatherings both at the church premises|
|and, on selected days, via Zoom to accommodate|
|wider participation. These meetings featured|
|distinguished speakers who delivered insightful|
|Bible reflections focused on the death and|
|resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Attendance|
|steadily increased, with over 25 participants|
|joining each day.|
|The Good Friday service included profound|
|teachings on the seven last sayings of Jesus,|
|offering<br>deep<br>spiritual<br>reflection<br>and|
|encouragement. Easter Sunday was celebrated|
|with a vibrant Gujarati folk dance, followed by a|
|fellowship dinner that fostered a strong sense of|
|community, joy, and shared faith among|
|attendees.|
|**_Family Retreat_**|
|On Saturday 21 September 2024, GCFUK|
|hosted a full-day Family Retreat at St John's|
|Church, Wembley. The event welcomed guest|
|preachers from The London City Mission, who|
|delivered enriching messages drawn from|
|Scripture, focusing on Christian family values|
|and the spiritual growth of the Church as the|
|body of Christ.|
|Approximately 40 members participated in the|
|retreat, engaging in worship, teaching, and|
|fellowship. Hospitality was extended throughout|
|the day with the provision of lunch, tea, and|
|refreshments,fosteringa warm and inclusive|





|environment for all attendees.|

|**_Giving Sunday_**|
|On 8 September 2024, GCFUK celebrated|
|Giving Sunday—a dedicated occasion to reflect|
|on the abundant blessings bestowed by God. The|
|congregation was encouraged to respond in a|
|spirit of gratitude by giving generously towards|
|the work of God and the welfare of others. This|
|initiative fostered a culture of joyful generosity|
|and reinforced the church’s commitment to|
|serving both its members and the wider|
|community.|
|**_Baptism Sunday_**|
|On 22 September 2024, GCFUK, in partnership|
|with Holy Trinity Church Hounslow, hosted|
|Baptism<br>Sunday—a<br>significant<br>spiritual|
|milestone for the fellowship. Twelve members of|
|GCFUK were baptised, publicly professing their|
|faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and affirming their|
|commitment to walk in His ways.|
|The service was conducted with reverence and|
|joy,<br>marking<br>a<br>profound<br>moment<br>of|
|transformation and celebration within the church|
|community.|
|**_Church of England Confirmations_**|
|On 13 October 2024, GCFUK, in partnership|
|with St John's Church, Wembley, hosted|
|Confirmation Sunday, a significant occasion in|
|the spiritual journey of its members.|





|The service was presided over by the Bishop of|

|Willesden, Rt Revd Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy, and|
|marked a formal affirmation of faith within the|
|Church of England. A total of 55 GCFUK|
|members<br>received<br>confirmation,<br>publicly|
|committing to their Christian walk and|
|deepening their connection to the wider|
|Anglican community.|
|**_Food Bank Initiative_**|



|On 10 November 2024, GCFUK organised a|

|Food Bank initiative, encouraging members to|
|donate a wide range of long-life food items and|
|essential toiletries. These contributions were|
|distributed<br>to<br>individuals<br>and<br>families|
|experiencing financial hardship, reflecting the|
|church’s commitment to practical compassion|
|and community support.|



_**Men’s Fellowship**_ 

|The Men’s Fellowship at GCFUK is an active|

|and<br>committed<br>ministry,<br>with<br>members|
|gathering regularly for weekly prayer meetings|
|and contributing enthusiastically to the life and|
|activities of the church. On 16 June 2024, the|
|group led the congregation in celebrating|
|Men’s/Father’s Sunday, taking responsibility for|
|the worship service and offering special|
|recognition to fathers within the fellowship.|
|The event was marked by heartfelt appreciation|
|and a strong sense of unity among attendees.|



_**Women’s Fellowship**_ 



|Throughout the financial year, the Women’s|

|Fellowship at GCFUK has led a series of|
|impactful initiatives designed to nurture spiritual|
|growth, strengthen community ties, and support|
|women and families in need.|
|Key activities included a 24-hour prayer chain,|
|regular<br>house<br>group<br>meetings,<br>and<br>the|
|organisation of a special Women’s and|
|Mothering Sunday service.|
|On 30 March 2025, the Women’s Fellowship led|
|the<br>congregation<br>in<br>celebrating|
|Women’s/Mothering<br>Sunday,<br>taking|
|responsibility for the worship service, sharing|
|the Word of God, and presenting a special|
|cultural programme.|
|These efforts have fostered a strong sense of|
|unity, empowerment, and fellowship among|
|participants, contributing meaningfully to the|
|spiritual and social life of the church.|
|**_Youth Fellowship_**|
|During the current financial year, the Youth|
|Fellowship at GCFUK demonstrated vibrant|
|engagement and spiritual leadership.|
|On 16 February 2024, the group organised Youth|
|Sunday at St John's Church, Wembley, with|
|attendance rising to over 70 participants. The|
|youth led the worship service and shared|
|reflections from the Word of God, showcasing|
|their growing confidence and commitment to|
|ministry.|
|In addition to special services, the Youth|
|Fellowship meets monthly for group Bible|
|studies. These gatherings not only support|
|spiritual development but alsoprovide a safe and|





|supportive space for young people to share|
|---|
|personal challenges, receive encouragement, and|
|pray together.|
|The fellowship continues to foster a nurturing|
|environment where youth are empowered to|
|grow in faith and community.|
|**_Sunday School_**|
|Sunday School is conducted each week during|
|the message time of the main service,|
|consistently welcoming a growing number of|
|children. This ministry plays a vital role in|
|nurturing the spiritual development of young|
|members<br>through<br>age-appropriate<br>biblical|
|teaching and interactive learning.|
|As part of its annual tradition, GCFUK|
|celebrated Sunday School Sunday on 17|
|November 2024.|
|The children participated enthusiastically in a|
|range<br>of<br>activities,<br>including<br>dance|
|performances, Bible recitations, and worship|
|songs. The event continues to grow in impact and|
|attendance, fostering deeper engagement among|
|children<br>and<br>encouraging<br>their<br>active|
|involvement in the life of the church.|
|**_Worship Ministry_**|
|GCFUK’s Worship Ministry is anchored by a|
|vibrant and dedicated choir that leads the|
|congregation<br>in<br>worship<br>every<br>Sunday|
|throughout the year, guiding members in|
|heartfelt praise and adoration of the Lord Jesus|
|Christ.|
|On 1 December 2024, the Choir Ministry|
|organised a special Christmas Carol Sunday,|
|featuring<br>seasonal<br>hymns<br>and<br>musical|
|performances that celebrated the birth of Christ|





and fostered a joyful spirit of worship and community. _**Pastoral update**_ Face to face pastoral care and social activities continue. Our Pastoral Visitors (and others) maintain contact with the church community by visiting all those who welcome it and where it is not possible, by making phone calls or text messages, contributing to the WhatsApp groups, and emailing our weekly services details and special event invitations. We are blessed to have such people, serving others and demonstrating God’s love. Our pastoral team provided support to our members during the time of celebrations and challenging times. Our pastoral team visited families at the time of sickness and loss of family members, providing spiritual and pastoral support in challenging times. We give thanks to God for the people we know and have known, who have shown us his love and we put our trust in Him as we look forward to continued worship, singing and fellowship in the years ahead. improve and make sound professional 

_**Volunteers**_ 

GCFUK is strengthened by a committed team of UK-based volunteers who generously contribute their time and expertise across a wide range of 



functions. Their support spans IT, finance, administration, secretarial services, event management, training, outreach, and day-to-day operational activities. This collaborative effort is vital to the effective delivery of the charity’s mission and reflects the spirit of service and stewardship at the heart of its work.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31/03/2025, which are set out on pages 3 to 8 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). 

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## 1. **Accounting policies** 

The financial statements of the charitable company, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 ' The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Companies Act 2006. The Financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. 

## **Resources expended** 

Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement, and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
