The Trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31st December 2024.
Structure and Governance
The UK Friends of the Trasimeno Music Festival was first governed by its Trust Deed dated 29 April 2(K19 and was
registered with the Charity Commission on 15 May 2￿9.
Recruitment and appointment of Tru5tee5
The Charity Trustees are responsible for the control and management of the Charity. Trustees are appointed bv
ordinèry resolution of the Board.
The Trustees who served during the year to 31st December 2024 were as follows:

The Trustees have identified all of the risks that the Charity Tvlay be exposed to and continue to monitor existing
controls in place to mitigate those risks.

Summary of the moin ortivities in relotion to its objects
The objects and aims of the Charity are to promote and develop the knowledge, understanding. appreciation and
performance of and the participation in classical music by supporting the Trasimeno Music Festival. To advance the
education of the public in classical music by the provb5ion of master classe5.
Pubfic Benefrt
The Charity Commi55ion in its Charitie5 and Public Benefit Guidance requires that there are two key principles to be
met to show that an organisation's aims are for the public benefit. Firstly, there must be an identifiable benefit.
Second, the benefit must be to the public ora sertion ofthe public.
The Trustees confirm that in setting the Charitvs objectives and in planning its activities. that they have had due
regard to the Charity Commission'5 guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Charitys aims and objectives.

Achlevements and pertorniance of the Charlty for the publlc benefft
The UK Charity. together with tts related charities in Canada and the USA. greatly contributed to a very
suc￿Ssful Trasimeno Music Festival held in Umbria between June 27th and July 3rd, 2024. We were pleased to See a
large audience attend from all over the world-our best Since pre<ovid.
In 2024 The U K Friend5 were able to contribute £33,389 towards the 2024 Tra5iffleno Music Festival. Aside from the
general running of the festival. these funds especially helped with the concert of June 28. 2024 in which we
presented the world-renowned gamba player, Jordi Savall- the concert on June 30. 2024 of the Valo Quartet Iwhich
included two exceptional British musicians. Amy Norrington and Tim Crawford)-both events which took place in the
Castle of the Knights of Malta in Magione: and final￿ the fascinating interview with one of the leading intellertU21s
of our time. Sir Simon Schama. hosted by broadcaster Eric Frie5en. That event took place in the Sala dei Notari,
Perugia on July 2. 2024.
The Trustees remain grateful to the UK Friend5 withotrt whom the Charity would have difficulty in continuing
it5 work in spreading the enjoyrnent and knowled8e of classical music.
Financial Revwew for the year
For the year under r￿lew, the Charity received donations totalling £38,30912023- £18,398) all of which derived
from individLJals and Trusts who continue to support the Charity.
During the year, the Charity donated £33.389 towards the cost of holding the 2024 Trasimeno Music Festival in itslv.
The Charity a150 incurred administrative c05ts of £9912023.. £463).
At year-end date the Charity unrestricted reseNes stood at £6,595 {2023- £2,744).

The Charity maintains a very COnse￿atiVe reserve poliry which enable5 the Charity to achieve its objectives and at
the same time continue to be self-su5tainin£.

I report to the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of The UK Friends of the Trasimeno Music Festiva I for
the year ended 31st De￿fflber 2024. which are set out on pages S and 6.
Responsibilities and basis of rÈport
As the Charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011{'the AcVI-
I report in respect of my Èxamination of the Trustee's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Art and
in carrwng out my examination I have followed all the applicable 01￿ctiOnS given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515I(bl of the 2011 Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connettion
with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respert=
111 accounting retords were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by settion 130 of the Act: or
121 the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concernsand have corne acr055 no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in this report in order to enable a pmper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
