To advance the Catholic faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with the spiritual principles in the constitution of the society known as the Daughters of St Francis de Sales by any charitable means that the trustees think fit; 2. To advance the Christian education of youth through the provision of grants and bursaries to groups or individuals and by any other charitable means that the trustees from time to time determine; 3. To relieve financial hardship, either generally or individually, of people living in the areas of the world where the Daughters of St Francis de Sales carry out their charitable works through grants or through paying for the provision of services, items and facilities; 4. To relieve sickness and physical and mental distress of people living in the areas of the world where the Daughters of St Francis de Sales carry out their charitable works, through grants or through paying for the provision of services, items and facilities. |

The Trustees have continued to raise funds through personal donations and other small scale fundraising activities and to research the needs for funds in |

During the year a group of Sisters from
the order went from England to work in
Germany as nurses. They chose to
donate their surplus salary to this
charity so that is might support the
wider charitable activities of the order
across the world. This shows a one
significant donation of £14,058 in June
2020.
During this year funds have been
transferred to support the work of the
communities in India, specifically to
help meet medical expenses of
terminally ill sisters, to help meet the
expenses of homes run by the sisters
for orphaned and poor girls and to help
with the effects of the pandemic on
schools in poor rural areas.
