obligations, manage u￿xpeCted expenditure and support Ihe continwl delwy of its tharitable activitses.
Althe end of th8 financial year. unre5tricied liquid ￿ServeS stood at £4.121. This was below the Trustees, long-term
target as a direct result of the planned investment in compleb.ng the tharitys Secondary school Capital prq"ect. The
Trustees were satisf￿￿ that this temporary reducb.on in reserves was cons15tent wth the charrty's strategic
ob5ectives and had been earefvlly conwder&J as part of ￿ overall fvndin9 cash fiow arrangements for the
project.
Followng the completvjn of the caprtal prqec( the Trustees exr*d the charity to strerythen its reserves through its

During the period the ch8rty raised a total of £2.030.120 of irtoming resources before chariU)le expenditure. Mosl
ol the funds raised were through voluniary donations from within the loral corntnunity. nu￿ery fee5. school fees,
m3drasa fees and through a number of fuThJraising prOgr￿me$ al the insb¢ute in ordei to furtherthe objectives.

The Truste85 have ass855ed the major rtsks to which the thanty is expos&Y and are satisfied that systems and
procedures are in pla￿ to rnitvJaie oui exposure to the major risks.
Plans forfuture periods
The charity remains commrtied to expandirrtJ ts edurational prowi5ion lo meet thè growing needs of the community.
During the year, the renovation and conversion of Ihe secondary sclK)ol premises were ¢c¥Mpbted. creating a
purpose-built educational facility for boys. The charity is now awaiting registrabon of the school before it Can
commence operation5.
Looking 8head. the Trustees will fooJs on securiNJ registration. wuitin9 additional 51aff where required. and
p￿paring the schwl for its first intake of pupils. Along$￿e this. the thanty VMII continue to invest in its existing
nutsery. primary school and madr2sa. ensuring that hvJh standards of ￿luC￿liOn. safeguardir¥J and govemance are
maintained across all areas of its educational provision.

has adequate resour￿$ to continue in operatsonal existen￿ for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees
continue to adopt the going concern bas￿ of accounting in preparing the statements.
