Parish continues to flourish and reach %Xrt to support b¢al families.
It continues to run parental workshops parents and children ioir)iryJ tO3ether to complete actiwties
each half term, a weekly playgroup oryJaniwJ arKI ddimwed by our community and Friends of the
Lighthouse Team with an average of 18 babiesltoJdleT5 and parents each theek.
The Lanlem Café holds regular special events and lurthes vthere members of our church community
come tcgelher to share lunch with Ihe children. abrvJ ￿1th various craft and support groups for I￿al
families and projects.
The youth work and particulady the new Bwknall Team Ministy Youth group has been amazing. This
has brought together the youth of all three thurches aThJ other youth from our area. Alpha youth was well
attended which came after the highlight of at the trip to the 'LIM￿eSs, Jouth festNal at the Staffc*dshire
County shNground. INe also have members crf the youth attending Blaze youngers18aders training.

Our PCC consists of our Clergy team, one Lay Ministy Representative plus from each District the
Wardens, one Deanery Sync(J Representative and other member5 elected at the Annual Parochial
Church Meeting, by those on the Electoral Roll. Some PCC members receive training from courses
run by Ihe Diocese. Members of the congregation are alway5 urged to join the Electoral Roll, and to
stand for election to the PCC.
The PCC members are resrM)nsibte for making decision on all rnatters of general con￿rn and
Importance in the parish, and for all finanaal matters. The full PCC met 6 times during the year wth
an average attendance of 75 %. Local Leadership Teafns of the three dtfferent districts met tetween
meetings and notes of their deliberatM)ns were received and discussed by the full PCC along with a
regular report from the Lighthouse Cenlre.

Members Responsibilitles
The Charities Act 2011 requires the membets trj prepare financial staternents for each financial year
which give a true arKI fair view of the state of affairs of the PCC at the end of the year and of the
surplus or deficiency forthe year then end¢d.
In preparing those financial statements, the wErnbers are required to seted suitable accounting
policies, as described on pages 3 and 4, and apply them on a consistent basis. making
judgements and estimates that are prudent and reasonable. The members must also prepare the
financial statements on Ihe going COn￿M basis unless it is nappropriate to presume that the PCC
will continue in business.
The members are responsible for keeping proper accounting r￿)rdS which disckJs& reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the PCC and to enable them to ensure that the financial
ststements comply with the Charities Act 2011. The memb8TS aro also rBsponsible for safeguarding

The restricted fund also comprises the building project at the Welcome Centre and St Mary's Church
Centre ak)ng with projects for which s[￿￿fiC grants have been received.
10. PRIOR YEAR ADJUSTMEKr
During the year, the trustees identified that the balance of restricted funds at 31 December 2023
included an amount of £33,372 that shoukj have been (gassifEd as unrestricaed funds. This vms due to
a misclassification of expenditure.
As a result, the comparative figures for the year ended 31 December 2024 have been restated. The
effect of this adjustment is as follows:
