Congregation numbers have continued to increase gradually. It has taken
'me for people to regain confidence and re*stablish patterns of
churchgoing. Wtyk with young people has continued, although rt remains
affected by changed habits foll¢)wing the pandemic.
The Disabled People's Contad cent￿ has resumed in-person provision
and continues to meet the needs of people vtho might otherwise b8
isolated. The Centre provides a programme of food and activities, and
the church also holds a weekly service of worship so that Centre users
can attend church while at the Centre.
The church provides office and coun8elling Space for variou6
organisations., rt continues the long temi relation8hip with Second Wave
that works with young people in the borough. Along with the shop that
raises money for the Disabled People's Contact Centre, the space at
Deptford Mission is available for other community organisations {e.g.
Karate Glasses) and the ¢hur¢h collaborates V￿th other church8s in
responding to the needs of poverty with donations to local foodbanks and
grfts for children and adults at Chnstmas.
However, demand for rented premises has declined. and as a misslon bve
are finding it increasingly difficult to let our available spaces.
The refurbishment of the 'dome' al the top of the building was completed
following damage caused by wear and tear. In addition, a major project
commenced to replace the boiler (now more than 30 years old), which is
8XP8Cted to cost over £85k.
