In accordance with the engagement letter dated , and in order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have compiled the financial statements of the company from the accounting records and information and explanations you have given to us.
This report is made to the directors in accordance with the terms of our engagement. Our work has been undertaken to prepare for approval by the directors the financial statements that we have been engaged to compile, to report to the directors that we have done so, and to state those matters that we have agreed to state to them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the Company and the Company's directors for our work or for this report.
You have acknowledged on the statement of financial position as at period ended 31 August 2025 your duty to ensure that the company has kept proper accounting records and to prepare financial statements that give a true and fair view under the Companies Act 2006. You consider that the company is exempt from the statutory requirement for an audit for the year.

Introduction
Aims of the Day Nursery
The primary aim of Woodbridge Day Nursery is to enhance and establish a solid foundation for children’s development, providing them with an excellent starting point for their educational journey. The nursery is committed to achieving this aim through several key approaches:

Provision of Facilities and Support: The nursery offers suitable play, educational, and care facilities, as well as opportunities for family learning and extended hours, ensuring that children and their families have access to resources that support early development.

Supportive and Stimulating Environment: A nurturing and engaging environment is provided, where young children can develop socially and emotionally through play-based learning. This approach supports children as they grow and learn, helping them to build key skills and confidence.
Nursery Capacity and Operation
Woodbridge Day Nursery is registered by OFSTED and rated as a good provider.
The nursery provides both educational and childcare services for children aged from birth up to five years old. Operational hours are Monday to Friday, beginning at 07:30 and concluding at 18:00, covering nearly the entire year except for a short closure period of approximately one week.
Funding and Childcare Schemes
The nursery is authorised to accept a range of government-supported funding and childcare initiatives. These include the Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE) for both the 15-hour and 30-hour funding options, the Early Years Pupil Premium, Childcare Vouchers, as well as the Government Tax-Free Childcare scheme.

Children’s Backgrounds and Funding
The children attending Woodbridge Day Nursery represent a diverse spectrum of backgrounds. Within this group, some children are supported through government free childcare funding programmes, while others attend through payment of full fees by their parents or carers..
Staff Qualifications and Training
All members of staff are qualified at Level 2 or above in childcare. In addition, they participate in comprehensive training focused on safeguarding and best practices in child care, ensuring a consistently high standard of care and safety for all children.
Practitioner Experience
The Nursery employs a team of 17 qualified practitioners. Most of these staff members have remained with the nursery for over five years, contributing a wealth of experience and continuity to the provision of care.

Our mission is to offer a supportive environment where children can play, grow, and develop their talents. Through this nurturing setting, we aim to help each child become an independent and confident individual, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Our ethos places children at the centre of all we do. We believe that children learn most effectively when they feel happy, secure, calm, and self-assured. Staff set high expectations and inspire children to explore and learn, ensuring every child receives encouragement and support.
We make certain that all children participate fully in every activity, offering meaningful learning opportunities through thoughtful experiences both indoors and outdoors.
Collaboration with parents and carers is integral to our approach, and we keep inclusion central to our practices and procedures.
Objectives
Our objectives are to foster a positive attitude towards health and wellbeing in children, promote positive behaviour and respect for others, and ensure that every child is prepared for school.
Finances
The Financial Statements for the year ending 31st August 2025 have been prepared by Hammond Ford Accountants. These statements present a comprehensive overview of the nursery’s financial position and performance during the reporting period.
Income and Funding
All income generated by the nursery was derived exclusively from fees paid by parents for personalised childcare services provided to their children. These fees were allocated directly towards covering staff wages and meeting operational expenses.

Governance
Woodbridge Day Nursery operates as a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. Its governance is rooted in the Memorandum and Articles of Association, which provide the framework for decision-making and compliance.
All trustees are formally registered with OFSTED and participate in the DBS update service, reinforcing our commitment to safeguarding and best practice in childcare governance.
All trustees have equal voting rights, except for the Nursery Manager, who does not participate in votes. None of the trustees receive any remuneration or expenses from the charity.
The charity is structured so that the Trustees meet regularly to manage its affairs. There is a policy of continual review of operational and financial risks based on established policies and procedures. The Trustees convene regularly throughout the year. The pay of the charity’s key personnel is reviewed annually and typically increased according to average minimum wage increments. The remuneration is also benchmarked against nurseries of similar size and activity to ensure it aligns with industry standards for similar roles.
Small Company Rules
This report has been prepared in accordance with the requirements that apply to small companies, as outlined in Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006. The Trustees have ensured that all relevant statutory provisions have been followed in the preparation of this report, reflecting the organisation's status as a small company.
