We believe that every child in unique and our aim is to provide a fun, stimulating learning experience which is catered to each child’s individual need. Children learn through play and through experiences which are meaningful to them. If they’re happy and secure, then they will learn and progress. We aim to plan and provide activities and play opportunities to develop our children’s emotional, physical, social and intellectual capabilities to their full potential. We believe attending preschool for almost full weeks prepares our children for joining mainstream school come September however Parents of September 22 preschool intake felt their children lacked maturity post covid to attend full hours. Once the September 2022 cohort moved on into reception we were left with 5 children which are poor numbers for starting the year. These numbers continued through past Christmas and then increased steadily until the end of the year, with most pupils using the governments 30hrs free childcare by spring term 2023. We continue to provide affordable childcare in a fun, stimulating environment, which caters to each child’s leaning need. We work closely with our parents, current situations restrict inviting them in to our setting regularly to see how their children are progressing, however we endeavour to have regular contact with our parents through their child’s key person. We have a good working relationship with Cambo School and carry out regular transition projects with them. This ensures the seamless transition for our children in to reception. We continue to strive to ensure all our children feel valued and by the end of their time with us, they are capable, resilient and self-assured individuals ready and excited for the challenges reception will bring. ## **Financial Review** The expenditure for 2022-23 year was £61,494.95 and Income £47,511.54 leaving a loss of £13,983.41. The largest expense is wages at £51,265.76 with the balance mostly made up of room rent and operational costs consisting of insurance, phone contract and bank charges.
