Trustees meet and respond to needs as they are received, based on our anticipated small donations.
Recruitment: People volunteer to assist and donate as we share stories about the need to help people in poverty.
Debts: We have no debts. We are a small outfit, and function within the limits of our small resources. Much sacrifice is made by all involved.
Helping Hands Mission Against Poverty is operated by a handful of individuals with a burden for people in extreme poverty. During the year under review three key team members have died. This has left us struggling. However, we have persevered and are trying to keep focusing on our goals of visiting and assisting poor communities in Jamaica and Kenya.
Jamaica: We collect and ship thousands of good quality clothes, shoes, food, medical supplies and crutches donated by Nuffield Foundation hospital. We ship these goods, travel and collect them and distribute to people in the poor communities.
We have provided building materials to poor families in need of accommodation:
We have provided crutches and other medical equipment donated by UK a hospital to hospitals in Jamaica.
Helping Hands Mission have financially assisted many unemployed who lost their jobs. Many were dismissed particularly through COVID period.
We have assisted families with funeral expenses. We've shipped and donated a wheelchair to a disabled child in Jamaica. .
Assisted a young patient critically ill with Multiple Sclerosis to return to the UK.
Kenya : (a) We have funded poor students with tuition Fees, Built or repaired 21 homes in villages, provided medical expenses to families, and send monthly donation for food to an orphanage.

We are incredibly proud of the work that we have been able to accomplish in the reporting year in responding to the needs of individuals in alleviation of poverty, advancing education and relieving sickness of children and young adults in Africa and other third wodd countries in line with our volues. In the reporting year we have received donations of quality clothes, shoes, food and medical Supplies and re grateful to our donors who hève responded generou51y. We are incredibly proud of our volunteers who have worked tirelessly in collecting the various donations and sending them where they are needed. In add*tion to thi5 we ceiVed voluntary monetary donations which we have been able to d15tribute to those in need and supporting poor students with their luition fees. We managed to a150 pay for the repair of 21 homes in villages in rural Kenya and provided medical expenses to familles in those area5 as well a5 donating food to orphanges there. The charity continues to respond to needs as they arise. We are pleased to report that aid was shipped to Jamaica which included food, clothes, 5hoe5. medical supplies including hospital equipment donated bv Nuffield Foundation Hospital for which we are grateful. Poor families were in receipt of these items. The unemployed due to COVID were also assisted finantially to suThive and the sick were provided medical assistance. In addition to this we are workin8 on developing a website to PLtbllsh the incredible reports of the impact the Charity Is having in the area5 It is worklng. The Trustees have been encouraged by the generou5 51JPPOrt from members of the public who recognise the vision of Helping Hands Mission Against Poverty and the importance of supporting young people go through education as a way of eliminating poverty in their communities.
