All members of th¢ Management Commftttee retire together at ihe end of
the ,Innual G¢nerdl Iq¢etlRg but ar¢ l¢gall)' ¢nlitkd to be re-elected or re-
appointed.
The Commirtee rece,ivos regular reports on £11 &8pec.t.% of WDWF'.8 work
and meets fonnally at least three times a year. A General Purposes Sul
Committee meeting is called at any time to consider urgenl matters of
business. Th¢ main responsibility of the Management Committee is to
fomiulate WDWF'S business and skntegic plans along with the annual
budget and regular fimncial monitoring.
Inlernal Controls
The Trustees hai'e oi'erall rewnsibility, for ensuring that WD￿ has an
appropriate system of controls and also responsible for ensuring that the
funds belonging to Ihe Charity are applied only in furthering lh¢
objecliv&s of WnWF. r)iJring Ihe. year, Ihe Manag¢menl c.ommittee have
received ￿gular financial and management reports from the Co-ordinator
and an annual review of WDWF:s ￿lie1¢S and procedures.

and voung p¢opl¢'s movemenl. We run ¢du￿tion groups in Merton and
West Sussex where young people ot all ages meet to play games, make
friends and learn alx)ul big ideas from climat¢ change lo soLial juslice
thFough C{￿￿11Ve ftclivities. The obiecls of the organisation are the
advan¢em¢nt of education and tbe ¢mpow¢rnTht of children and young
people for Ihe public benefit by: • enwuraging ¢hildr¢n and young peopl¢
to participate in society, improving their lives and others through active
citizenship. and • promotin8 th¢ interests and welfare of Children and

Summer trip to Finland to camp with th¢ Finnish organisation c¢lebrating
their ARRiveTsary.
Wimbledon Woodcraft Folk offered a weekly programm¢ of social
education for about 125 local children and young people in Merto
Wimblth Woodctafi Folk organised A Rights of camping and
residential aclivities
Received fundlng from Ihe Mayor of London's Gol London Fund for
Sporting Activities.
During terni time we provided a safe friendly environment for young
people lo meet on Mondav. Wednesdav and Thursday ¢venin?s.
Finland Trlp- 16 young p￿PIC helped to make ih¢ summer of 2023
meniorable Togetherl The international Nuoret Kotkat Falcon camp
brought together children and young people from different coui)tries in a
scenic finnFgh fi)resl. They. enio)'ed makiftg friend5 in the Ikxulif
outdoors with fun aLtivili¢s. Plus a short slay in Helsinki.
Co• London - During ihe year we were one ot'only thirty groups in
London to be successful at receiving a grant for two year fundtng towards
running sporting activitie& including the climbing wall and running a
group on Friday evenings, This is aimed at r￿chIng the 13 to 18 year
olds who find It ditricult to join th¢ maAnstream clubs.
Camping
C8mping is our lljost important activity. C'amping is a symkx)li¢
expression of living Couoperatively. At camp all young people are equal.
Young pei)ple from all backgmunds eal, live. play and work together.
3-day May Bank Hollday Camp at Lur%ashalL
This camp was organised and run joinily with the groups from Colliers
Wood Woodcrnft Folk. It was great to see 15 and 16 year olds act as role
models tor lh¢ younger one& encoutaging cooking skills, setting up
games in the woods and being consistently positive and ¢Rthusiastic.

S-dav Sumw£r call￿ at LuryasbalL
This Call￿ was planned by the young people4t the previous May Bank
holiday camp. We were delighted to receive a small group from
Southwark Woodcraft Folk to join our camp. One of the main highlights
of th¢ camp was a visit to Thc V¥'cald & Downl&od Livillg Museuni.
