We conflm) the trustees had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit
Trinity provfdes worship services in a range of styles. These include Sunday mornlng servlces at
10.45 and occasional evening Jau Vespers. All these services are publici5ed widely and are open to
As well as regular services, the church holds Christenings, Weddln8s and Funera15. It holds Special
e¥ents to encoura8e contemplatTron, such a5 at Christma5, Lent and Easter with extra services. These
are open to all and are publicised around the town arbd wider area.
The church also encourages attendance of house groups to allow church members and anyone else
who Is Interested to study the blble more deepty and encourage fellowship.
There Is a pastoral system $0 that all who attend the church have a pastoral Contact, who can visit
them, communicate any needs to the minlstry team and keep everyone informed of church events.
The minlster and pastoral team visit those who are sick, bereaved or in need of help. This extends to
any who have Ilnks to the church and may wish for a visit. The thurch is often open on a Saturday
morning for anyone to come along for coffee and a chat.
There is a fortni8htly fellowshlp group and a weekly badminton group which are open to church
members and the wlder community and offer chances for people to meet In a more informal settlng.
The churth has a strong Boys Brlgade, Glr15 Brl8ade and toddler group. have Chrlstlan leadershlp
and are open to all. It also provldes a weekly Sunday School and crèche durlng the mornlng servlce.
The Church glves to a range of charltles, both In the UK and oversea5. Trinlty allow5 and encourages
l¢xal tharltles to hold Saturday coffee mornln85 to raise money for thelr fund5.
SEcfioN o ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

TrSnity held regular 10.45 worship servlces durlng the year. There Is the odd evening servlce, such as
5.45 Jazz Vespers. There are also regular Home Church groups that meet fortnighily.
The Loughborough Chinese Methodlst Church moved into the building at the end of 2021. The two
churches held more joint services durin8 the year, usually followed by a joint lunch. We are also
worklng more closel¥ together over the redevelopment of the bullding.
We have also had Proclaim Jesus Church move into the buildin8 and hold services on a Saturday and
Sunday evening.
There was a celebration for Harvest. involving supper and a beetle drive
There were a number of special collections durin8 the year, including for Loughborough Street
Pastors, Rainbows and The Haven. Donations for refreshments after the Sunday service went to
Wateraid anil there was an ongoing collection of 8¢)ods for the Trussell Trust.
There were re8u13r Saturday coffee mornings plus Open Gardens over the summer. Along wlth
providin8 3 time of fellowship, many ofthese raised money for good causes.

Trinity held rt5 own Commemoratlon service in the autumn forthose who had lost loved ones. We
also hosted a Christmas commemoration for a local undertaker and families who had been
bereaved.
There are Intemal groups who use Trinity weekly, indutling Girls Bri8ade. 8oy5 Brigade, Toddler
group and Monday at 2 social group.
Trlnlty Early Learners use the hall every weekday in termtime and there are many other external
group5 who make use of the premises. induding choirs and exerclse groups.
Redevelopment of ihe old prlnt room started In the year. Thls wlll form a new meetln8 room, teabar
and atcesslble toilet. There wlll also be a new office and store room for the Playgroup, allowlnB that
Broup to move into the new rooms and make the other part5 of the building more accessible durln8
playgroup sessions.
A5 Part of the redevelopment stheme, the old playgroup office will become a prayer room, for the
use of anyone who needs It. This room is belng sorted out In partnershlp with the Chinese
onBregation and the Proclairn Jesus Church.
Trlnlty Is an artive member of the Three Churches Partnershlp, worklng with the URC and the
Loughborou8h Baptist Church. We hold joint servlces and events, especially at Easter and Christmas.
At ChrSstma5. the 3 Churches collaborated to put on a performance by the New Sprln85 Dance
Group.
We are al￿ a member of the Loughborou8h Churches Partnership with occasional lolnt events.

connection with the examination wthich give me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the ac(>Junting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to
vthich attention should be dravm in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
I have not obtained independent verification of all investments with the Trustees for Methodist
Church Purposes or held in other trusts, bank balan￿S and funds at the Central Finance Board of
