I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Barnet Brookside Methodist Church for the year ended 31 August 2021 set out on pages 2 to 4 As the Church's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Church's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and, in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

For<br>much of the year, worship could not be<br>held at either location, so they were moved<br>to on-line.<br>Church members and other members of<br>the local community were kept in contact<br>through weekly e-mails and printed notices.<br>Fellowship and friendship for all ages was<br>also maintained through Zoom meetings.<br>Offerings were made by standing order and<br>cheque rather than traditional weekly<br>collections at church services.<br>The Church is in partnership with St Mary’s<br>Church, East Barnet in the East Barnet<br>Anglican Methodist Partnership (EBAMP).<br>Shared activities with St Mary’s and other<br>churches and faith groups include Lent<br>Groups, the annual Remembrance Sunday<br>service and service to launch the annual<br>Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. These<br>were shared online.|
