Group Scout Leaders Report 2022 Welcome to our group AGM. This booklet contains the reports from all the Sections and gives you a brief outline of the group's activities over the past year. After taking over from Gary Tagg at last yearfs AGM, and following 2 years of difficult times for everyone. I would like to extend my thanks to all the Leaders Executive Committee and all the parents for all their effort in keepin8 the Scout group going. Its good to be back to face to face meetin8s & a fairly normal Scouting programme. For those that do not know me, I have lived in the village for over 60 years and been involved in Scouting most of my life. I have been involved with 1st Mountsorrel Scout group since its reopening, firstly in the background helping the then chairperson. to becoming an assistant Beaver leader, before moving onto working on the Executive Committee & now as GSL. In the last year, all sections have been active with camps. days out as well as at the Scout hut. The group numbers are going up and a good waiting list for new members to join the beavers. The Scout Group has a building maintenance schedule and improvement list, with the roof replacement beginning in a few weeks, time. This major project means we will need to become proactive in fund raising to refurbish the kitchen, toilet & general redecoration, with active participation at the Mountsorrel Revival in August. Towards this end, and with the sad loss of ourTreasurer, other members standing down after long years of Service. We are actively seekingto expand the Executive Committee. I would like to thank all the young leaders for all the time that they have put in over the last year and all the hard work with all the sections, without whom we would not be able to run some activities. Can I remind everyone that all the helpers and leaders do so voluntary, at absolutely no cost to the Group, without all their hard work, none of this would have been possible. Without leaders and adult helpers, the group would not exist. If you can spare an hour a week and would like to help, either directly with the young people or on the committee, please talk to any of the leaders or committee members.
