Mawdesley & Neighbouring Villages U3A has a weekly Wednesday
Coffee Morning where members and prospective members can
come to see what activities and forthcoming events are available.
The activities and interest groups are split into various types and
open to all members with the range allowing for different levels of
physical or mental ability, and are run and organised by members.
It also provides a friendly environment and mutual support among
the membership to aid both physical and mental health.
Members suggest new activities that may be trialled or launched if
there is sufficient interest.
The Trustees have regard to the guidance issued by the Charity
Commission on public benefit and believe that this is satisfied as
the Association is non-profit making as any surplus is used in future
years to support its charitable objectives and purposes.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Membership numbers have now returned to pre-pandemic
levels.
This year has seen the development of new groups - Tai Chi,
Guitars Etcetera, Pickleball and our Eco Travel Group.
Summer 2022 saw the return of Boules and later in the year
our Patchwork group restarted.
In September we ran a series of Heritage Walks in our
neighbouring villages and also held a MacMillan Coffee
Morning. During the year members have donated foreign
coins for the British Legion, spectacles and mobile phones for
Uganda, loose change for Children in Need, and there was an
astounding response to the International Aid collection for
Ukraine.
Our weekly Newsletter by email continues to keep members
in touch with what is going on in our u3a.
