ThÈ charity's objective as sÈt out in the ChÈritable Trust DeÈd, is for the tru5teÈs to apply capital and incomè to or towards or for
the benefit or furtherance of such charitable purposes orcharitsble in5titution5 3t their 3bsolute discretion.
The trusiees have paid due re4ard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in decidine what activities the charity should
undertake.
Achievements and performance
During the year the Trust generated income resources of £283,60012024.. £262,630) which enabled the charity to make 1612024..

The trustees have cornplied with their duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to guidance published bv
the. Charity Cammi%%iDn.
Flnantlal review
The trust received Income from rents which amounted to É273.53612024.. É252.54218nd donations of £IO,00012024.. £10.0001.
The trustees own a number of commercial properties which receive rental income. During the year the trusrees purchased two
investment properties and sold one investment property during the year.
As shown in the statement of financial attivities, as at 5 April 2025 the net Incre2se in funds for the year was £51,62412024..

Re5erve5 Policy
It is the policy of the Charity to maintain unrestricted funds (free reserves) at a level which is sufficient to cover management and
administration costs and to respond to emergency applications for grants which arise from time to time. In sitU8tions where the
income is Insufficient to meet the annual expenditure, the reserves are required to make up any shortfall out of capital. The
trustees are content that the level of reserves held is sufficient for this purpose.
The unrestritted funds of the Charity as at 5 April 2025 amounted to £2,539,53112024.. £2.487,￿71.
Grant Making Policy
The trustees. grant m8king policy is generally to make donations to registered charitable organisations (not individualsl which
support a wide range of causes.

The trustees have the power to appoint new trustees, and any one trustee can retire at any time they see fit. The minimum

requiretnent5 of the Ch4ritie5 Act 2011 (the 2011 Actl.
I report in respect of my examination of the charity's financial statements tsrried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act. In
tarrying out my examination I havÈ followÈd all thÈ applicable DirÈctions givèn by thÈ Charity Commission undÈr section
14515llbl of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner's statement
Since ihe charity's gross income exceeded £250,000 your exèminer must be 8 member of a body listed in section 145 of the
2011 Att. I confirm that l am qualified to undertake the examination because l am a member of . which is one of the listed

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters h8ve come to my attention in connection with the examination

The Lynne and Nigel Ross Charitable Trust is a tharity registered in England and Wales. The registered office is 8110 Hallam
StreÉt, London, WIW 6NS.
1.1 Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charity's Deed of Trust, the Charities Act 2011 and
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities-. Statement of Recommended Practice 8pplicable to ch8rities preparine their financial
statements in accordance with the Financi31 ReportinB Standard applicable In the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021"
(effèctivè from l January 20191. The tharity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The financial statements are prepared in sterlin& which is the funttional currency of the charity. Monetary amounts in these
financial statements are rounded to the nearest E.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, modified to include investment properties
at fair value. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 Going concern
At tho time of approving the fin3nciÈl statÈmÈnt£, thÈ trugtÈÈs have a reagonablÈ ÈxpÈctation that thÈ tharity ha> adèquatÈ
resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the tru5tee5 continue to adopt the Eoing
concern b3515 of accounting in prep3ring the fin3ncial statement5.
1.3 Charitable funds
UnrÈstritted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furthetsnce of their charrtable objectNes.
1.4 Incoming resources
Incotne is recogni5ed when the charity 15 legally entitled to it after any performance condition5 have been rnet, the amounts
can be measured reliably, and it is prob8ble that income will be received.
Cash donations are recogni5ed on receipt. Income ta¥ recoverable in relation to donation5 received under Gift Aid is
recognised at the time of the donation.

Resources expended

All expenditure is accounted for on an attrual basis. All expenses including support costs and governance costs are allocated or
pportioned to the applicable e¥penditure headings.
Expenditure on raising funds relates to the cost5 of managingthe charitV'5 inve5trDent propertie5.
Support costs relate to the administrative costs of running the charity.
Governance costs comprise all cost5 involving the public accountability of the Charity and its compliance with regulation 3nd
good practice.
Grants payable are payments made to third parties In the furtherance of the charitable objertives of the charitv.

1.6 Investment properties
Investtnent property, which is property held to earn rent315 3nd/or for c3pital appreciation. 15 measured using the fair v31ue
model and stated at it5 fair value at the reporting end d3te. The surplu5 or deficit on revaluation 15 recognised in net incomel
lexpenditurel for the year.
The freehold properties are included at market value Zt S April 2025. The trustees have decided to revalue the properties
every 5 years or earlier should the trustees consider there to be a material movement in value. Any gain or loss on revaluation
is taken to the Statement of Financial Activities.
1.7 C35h and cash equivalents
Cash and cash equivalÈnts include cash in h3nd, deposits held at tsll with banks, other short-term liquid investments with
original maturities of thrÈÈ tnonths or lÈss, and bank ovÈrdrÈfts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current
Flnanclal Instruments
The charity has elected to apply the provisions of Section 11 'Basic Fin8nci81 Instruments, and Section 12 '0ther Financial
Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to 811 of Its financial instruments.
The charity only has financial assets arid financial liabilitie5 of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial
instruments are initially recognised at transaction v31ue and 5ubsequentty measured at their 5ettletnent value.
Critical accounting estimates and judgements
In the application of the charity's accounting policies, the trustees are required to make judgements, estimates 2nd
ssumptions about the tarrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent from other sources. Material
