OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES OBJECTIVES The objectives of the Church are for the benefit of the public. .To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of beliefs in such ways, and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees from time may think fit, and to fulfil such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales and are connected with the charitable work of the Church. To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind, including through the provision of counselling and support in such parts of the UK or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit. To advance education in such ways and in such parts of the UK or the world, as the trustees from time to time may think fit. ACTIVITIES Our Sunday morning worship services continued in the village hall as normal throughout the year. Kids Church is held also on Sunday mornings as part of the service on all but the first and fifth Sunday of each month. The first Sunday being Cafe Church, the fifth being an all age service.

On Tuesday mornings in term time we hold a toddler group. In the evening, worship practice and prayer time. All these activities are held in the village hall. Events such as an Easter trail, games nights and a light party are also held. During the year we recruited Tom Whitman in a self employed position for 2 days a week as a trainee pastor. SAFEGUARDING The trustees and leadership team are committed to the safety and well~being of all those associated with the chapel, especially the young, the aged and the vulnerable. Our protection policies are kept under regular review, all members of our teams working with such groups are DBS checked through our membership of Thirty One Eight. Our lead recruiter is Emma Britton. Food safety is also considered to be of great importance, our catering team hold food hygiene certif icates, we are registered with South Somerset District Council food safety unit and currently hold a 5 star rating,

FINANCIAL REVIEW Our principal funding source is from our congregation this year totalling £28,381.63 Our expenditure this year has increased to £37,182.77 as expected having recruited Tom Whitman. The Trustees confirm that the accounts comply with current statutory requirements and those of the charities trust deed, GOVERNANCE The trustees are responsible for all financial matters and are governed by the Trust Deed dated 8-2-2009 as amended by a supplemental Deed dated 1-1-2011. New trustees are appointed by unanimous resolution. DECLARATION The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees report.
