We beRan up8radln8 the Hall, Francis Norrl&h loom, and Youth Hut. This has cost a $18nificant sum, fundod from Invested
resÈrvps. We wefe fortunate to have these funds thanks to 6enerous le8ocie5 received over the pèst fifteen y￿ar5 or so. Our
facillties had become Quite tired and negleCt￿d beiause no investment5 had been made for many years, so we hawe becn

2025 has been a year in wh￿h we have prèyerlully identlfled and supported those within the benefice who hove stepped
ftsrward to explore and devebp the calling God has platÈd in their heart5.
We have seen the additlon of welcomer5, muslcians and help withln the technlcal team at St. Paul's and addltions to the
prayerlinterce5slon arid readin8 teams at Christ Church.
In Apdl, we celebrated St George as well 8$ the 50rh Annlver$ary of the 14th Torbay Scout Group initiative here at St Paul's.
Thi5 Service ma¥ked the beglnnlni of several celebrations, a5 thls rftovement stsrted operating here through the Insplration of
one of our prevlous vlcars.
In June, we had the Engllsh Riviera Air Show, where we were able to make full use of the field behind the church, welcornl06
people from near and far, We continue to have the Fellowship Lunche5, whlch are held on the last Wednesday ol each month
at Ye Olde Smokey House Inn. Marldon.
Later In the summer, Mark Brookman arranged for the fasclnatlng 'This Is My Story. photo portrait exhlbbtlon to be dlsplayed
at Chr15t Church and St Paul'5. It was a powerful mlsslon opportunltv
We contlnue to meet for Blble study ènd wor5hlp on Tuesday nights. It has been encoura8in8 to hève 8 commitment frorn
many who have found thls fofm ol lellow5hlp helpful lor thelr growth in Chr15t.
The Thursday coffee mornin&5 contlnue to bless the communlty. We have seen an inrre15e In attendance and deeper
conversatlons. From exchan8in8 books to read to prayln8 for one another, Gcd15 workin6 in and throu8h thi5 space,
Durln8 October and November, we held a Youth Alpha course attended by 8 conslstently hlgh number of teena8er5, mostlv
Internotional. wlth some locol5.

December was a rewardln8 rnonth. The 2nd Steps Preschool's Naiivity Wa$ & lovely octa$lon becau$e 11 we had been prayln
for many year5 lor the Preschool to become part of our church familyi and 21 It Wa5 such a wonderful event, It was so good to
hove the opportunlty to welcome and olfer hospltality to 50 many young chlldren. aloTh8 wlth thelr mums and d8ds, brothers
and slsters, ènd other frlend5 and relatives, Into our church, many for the flrst tlme. We were also prlvileged to host another
special evEnt, the Clvlc Carol Servlce. Thls service was particularly meaninEful because of the clylc mayor, Barbara Lewls. who
hose th15 locètlon. and the seveniy or so singers and member5 of the Unleashed Theatre Company, to8ether wlth Counclllor
Dave Thomas pl8yln8 our magnlfl£ent church or8an and all the other mu$lcl4n$, who made It another beauttFul celebratlon ol

We were deli8hted to launch a new website, and begin improving our Social rnedla presence. Certalnw, the dedlcated team

tO8ether usln8 Lectio 365. mostly In silence with space to pray when prompted. These emerglng prattices a￿ dellberately
modest, focu5in8 on presence, listenin& and trust. and are belng allowed to devekjp at a Sustainable pace.

Flnanclal Revlew
The tot31 ieceipts on unrestricted funds were £80,740 12024 - £104,615). There was also a Restricted Funds
receipt of £19,000 in the year. The total expenditure this year was £141.97112024 £83,990). In addition, there is
an unrealised loss on the investment this year of £1.371 12024 - 10s5 £2631. The expenditure lincludlng the
'unreali5ed gains/105s1 exceeds income by £62,54712024- plus £20.3621.
The additional expenditure In 2025 can be attributed to the followlng areas.. Enhanced security Idue lo the break-
in October 241; a pro8ramme of refurbishment to all hall & church prernises,. a new websste,. A projpr.t managpr to
oversee the move to a joint Council,. hospitality for several eveDt5.' employln8 3 admlnistrato¥s.
This has been funded by moving £39,0￿ from our CCLA Deposit Account to our Lloyd5 General Actount; within
thls move was £11.7k of unspeclfled Legacy monies + £2.3k of Le8a¢y money speclfled for securlty, £2.8k Le68ql
money for PA & Sound.
Income stream5 are genèrated from the Parish Glvin8 Schemè, standlng orders, hall hlre, envelopes (which are
kept at the end of the pewsl, cash in the offering plates and digital giving terminal. We have received income from
the newly Installed Srnaft Parklng system.
The contribution to the Dlocesan 'Parlsh Share, which hèlps towards the cost of stlpends and houslng costs for ihe
lerRy, was paid In full this year.
There were no le8acie5 received in 2025.
No HMRC clairns for Gift Ald were made in 2025. There will a catch up in 2026.
We employed three admlnlstraiors in 2025, and contlnue to provide rental support to our Pioneer Worker. A
Farnlly Worker will be appolnted in 2026, funded by a recent £19,000 8rant from the Benefact Trust Ltd, to cover
lor three years.
Our tlthe for 2025 was glven to Claudaline'5 work in the DRC (through the Semeliki Trust) and lo the local youth
charlty Llnx- a total of £3,557. Neither of these charlties wlll be supported by the thurch In 2026 onwards.
Little An8els ceased to run this year, and was replaced by Growing Tots, led by the Ploneer Worker. The £60 left in

It Is our pollcy to Invest any surplus funds with CCLA, throu8h the CBF Church of England Deposit Fund, their
Investment Fund unlts and the1r Dep051t Fund.

Saleguarding remains a top prlorlty for our parish. We are dedlcated to establi5hin8 and maintaining a safe,
welcoming envlronment lor children, young people. and Vulnerable adults, and to fosterin8 a culture of vi8ilance,
care, and responsibility across ihe benefSce.
Throughout the year, safe8uardSng has been managed by our Parish Safeguarding Officers, collaboTatin8 closely
with cler8y, chyrchwarden5. and the Diocese of Exeter. Safeguarding recruitment procedures have been properly
followèd, includlng the correct use ol DBS checks. references, and role descriptions. Training on safeguardins has
been promoted and rnonitored for clergy, PCC members, and volunteers in accordance wlth diocesan standard5.
Safeguarding policie5 have been reviewed and are displayed and accesssble wlthin oui church buildings and onllne
where appropriate. Any safeguardin8 concerns have been managed in accordance with diocesan procedures, with
advice sought promptly from the Dioce5art Safeguardlng Team when required tsr the local auihority designated
