The PCC maintalns an overview of worshlp throughout the parlsh and makes su88estion5 on how our senAces can Involve the manv 8roups that Ilve and work wlthln our parlsh. Our servlces and worshlp PLrt falth Into practice through prayer and scrlpture, muslc and sacrament. When plannln8 our actSvlties for the year we have consldered the Charlty Commlsslon's euldance on publlc beneflt and Sn partlcular the supplementary guldance for charlties on the advancement of rellglon. We try to enable ordlnary people to Ilve out thelr falth as part of the parish communlty. We do thls throu8h: o Worshlp and prayer; learnlng about the Gospel and developlng knowledge and trust in Jesus. o Provlslon of pastoral care for those Ilvlng in the parlsh and for church members. We have contlnued to carry out our Mlsslon Actlon Plan. We have contlnued to adapt to the challen8es of the coronavlrus pandemlc, Ilve-streamin8 services, 5UPPOrtin8 those who are isolated and vulnerable, keeping our youth and children's work, home groups and prayer meetings online when necessary and holding in-church servlces when It has been permltted and safe to do so. We have kept our church buildlng open for private prayer when permitted by government re5trlrtlons.

Postornl Care St Mary Magdalen's Pastoral Team oversees the vlsitin8 of those parlshloners at home who re unable to get to church typically due to illness or frallty. Our Safeguardlng Offlcer ensures all requlred checks are carrled out and that people attend tralnlng and receive update5 as requlred. Outreach and Mlsslon 'Oasls', our Fresh Expresslon of church for older people, has contlnued when posslble. For the safety of those invofved and in line wlth government restrlctlons we had to reduce numbers meetlng in the local pub and at tlmes stop this all together. We have supported people wlth phone calls and d(¥orstep delfverles. This has been made possible by the continued employment of a part-time Seniors. Chaplaln who enables a team of volunteers to lead It. Sadly. we were unable to run our popular women'5 brunches this year but plan to restart them in 2022.

Our youthwork has been both online and in person when restrlrtions have permitted. We have continued to make contributions in local schools, with our Youth Worker being involved in leadlng a CU in Churtherfs College, two assemblies a terni belng recorded for children at Heme Junior School, the children of Sheet Primary being welcomed into the church for their Harvest Celebration and the children of Stepping Stones Playgroup being welcomed into church for Harvest and Christmas celebrations. Our expenditure was down on prevlous years for pandemic related reasons.
