As was set in the previous year the PCC met 1 Otimes throughout ihe yearto 8ddress the daily running, financial 8nd fabric needs of the p8rlsh. In September the Church was subjected to another three years of Bishop's suspension as the future minislry ol Ihe whole Hoo peninsula is reviewed 8nd reshaped. The day-to-day maintenance is cared for tyour two warden8 and a deputywarden. Robln Thompson, Paulsutton and Peterlackson. Regu18r worship continues with hvo Sunday services, and this is assisted by our LLM David Green. At the beglnning of the year we continued working wlth our new ordlnand Graeme Copestak¢. Graeme was ordalned a8 8 Deacon at Rochester Cathedral and licensed to us for curacy on the 28" June 2025. S8dly. Graeme found ministry too much and only 8t8yed with St. Helen's until the 151 August 2025. A8 o church other sernlces were oflered and carried out throughout the year, weddings. bapllsm's and luner8ls. A Leni course was run in appro&¢h to E83ter and oiher servlces 8nd actlvlties increased Ihroughoul the year with Messy Church iemaining very popular 8mongst the lamilies ol the parish. Good cont8Ct continue3 to be had between St. Helen'8 school. Cllffe Woods school and Cliff e Pre-school. with re8ui8r assemblles and vi31t5 With each. Relationships are being bullt wlth the church and Rochester City School as w8 offer some work expeflenc8 in our grounds and coffee hub. We contlnue to see growth in the life of the church and in early winter 8 ba8le's course, Hope Explored w88 succe88fuLiy run and attended. Cobbl8cove remalns rented outto o private tenant with 8 short-term tenancy agreement in place. The rent was in¢rèasèd in September 2025 and will be reviewed and increased og81n in September 2026 as it very slowly catches up with full market value for slmllar Sized propety in the 8r88, to which it is still extremely reasonable. St. Helen's House funs a Coffee Stop. community hub five days a week Tun by a team of loyal volunteers. During the summer rnonths the PIC and a Warden redecorated the woodon window frames around St. Helen's house. Finol comprehensive plans have now been drawn up and ere waiting full tsculty. In the meanwhile, costs have been mei by the events put on by the soc481 and fundralslng committee and olher donations. The church remalns in good condltion for a medieval building, and no real structural WOTk$ or repairs were carried out in this year. A leak to the upper Toom was noteLJ and tempor8ry rep81red. We added a new remote WI-FI controller to the church heating system in January whlch has saved on onergy costs over the year. Over811. we h8ve h8d 8 good year and have continued to look forward in the way in which we truly represent 8 communiiy church in the heart of oui vilL8ges and continue to be welcoming to all.
