Our focus is to transform the lives of men for a better future by challenging negative stereotypes of men in the UK and well as promote good moral values and education, training, employability, and parental life skills for all men.

Twenty Years’ Service as unincorporated association.

We have now completed years’ service from our initial creation of MMOV in 2002 as an unincorporated association, 18 years as company and 14 years as a Charity.

Impact of Covid19

We are still suffering from the impact of Covid19 with regards to staffing, service delivery and new and existing projects. We hope that this changes this year, amidst of the increase costs for staff and deduction of cuts to services.

Mentoring Support:

We have extended our Mentoring and Care Support to include young women, Children with Disabilities (CWD) and Adults providing Respite to families. We plan that Valour Youth and Adult Services CIC will start to take on some of these areas of work in schools and with children and MMOV will take on direct work with young men and males.

Valour Youth and Wonderful Women of Valour (WWOV) projects:

Our aim for 2020-2022 is to develop and expand our current programmes which seems to a real impact in the lives of the children and parents that we work with.

Registration with the Care Quantity Commission CQC

We hope to register with the Care Quantity Commission CQC by the end of 2023 and continue to provide support not only for children, young people with disabilities and care respite support, but we hope to expend our support to adults.

In preparing the financial statements the directors are required to:

The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. Mighty Men Of Valour Accountants' Report For The Year Ended 31 July 2022

I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 July 2022, which are set out on pages 5 to 9.

Respective responsibilities of directors and examiner

  1. The charity’s directors are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s directors consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

  2. Having satisfied myself that an audit is not required, it is my responsibility to:

  3. examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

  4. to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and

  5. to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent examiner’s report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as directors concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide allthe evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

  1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and

  2. to prepare accounts which accord with accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements ofthe 2011 Act, and with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities, have not been met; or

  3. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to bereached.

  3. examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

  4. to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and

  5. to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
