The past year has not been what anyone would have expec*d. However. despite the Pandemic, lockdowns and

for homele$4 socially-isolat¢d and otherwise vulnerable peopl¢.
The support to our Companions and Volunteers h&s continued but in new and different ways and we have
worked directly with 132 individuals=
We have seen the successful openin8 of our first Community Hous¢. during the first lockdown, in which we
have been strongly supported by The Flagship Housing Group and their Maintenance Contractor RFr.
We have wovided 1449 of our ground breaking Mental Health Packs. to vulnerable people in Ipswich.
Felixstowe and elsewh¢r¢ in the East of Suffolk. W¢ know from f¢¢dback how much they have meani for people,
who have felt so isolated during this most difficult of times.
Our hubs at The Dales Ipswich and Great Eastern Square Felixstowe whilst being closed for retail much of th¢
time have continued to provide suptM)rt to companions and volunteers on site in a S￿iallY dlstanced way.
Our support team stayed in touch with self isolating companions and volunteers through regular phone calls.
Our Retsil Team have moved our retail offer on line.
It has been possible to expand our offer in the centre of Ipswich as Sailmakers have provided another unit. which
we are using as an up cycling aftd crnfting workshop. and Ipswich Borough Council has leased a warehouse to
Emmaus Suffolk from which fvrniture is sold. something that we had limited capacity to offer before.
Th¢ fact that the charity has been able. not only to SUTViVe but thrive in the m05t difficult op¢ratin8 environment
is due in large part to the hard worK commitsnent and the innovative approaches taken by our dedicated staff
t¢am who have step￿d and adapted swiftly to the situation in sensitive caring ways.
Whilst income, through our social enterprises has been very limited over the year a number of grants from a
range oforganisations including The Suffolk Community Foundation. Ipswich Borough Council and Felixs¢ow¢
Town Council alongside those provided by Government and supw)rt in others ways from other organisation
including The East of England Co Op, John Grose. Archway Carpets and Hudson Signs.
We are deepty grate￿1 to all the organisation& which have provided supporL which has ¢nabl¢d us to help more
people. broadened our offer and strengthen th¢ Charity's financlal positlon.
