In planning the activities for the year the trustees have reviewed the
guidance on public benefft issued by the Charrty Commission and at the
monthly Trusteelmanagement meetings have satisfied themselves that
the activities organised met that guidan￿ along with the GovemTnent's
Covid 19 regulations
Under nomial circUmstan￿S the trust uses a number of approaches to
raise funds including sponsored events, social events, street Colle￿lonS
and the provision of support of other charttable organisations. We also
seek grants in order to facilitate Ouf work with local families in need and
other community projects. Due to the pandemic this year we relied
heavily on grants to facilitate our work with local families in need and
other communty projects

Due to being in lockdown for much of the year our usual fundraising
events were greatly affected but we did manage to organise some virtual
fundraising events including Race Nights; an Auction; Qutz Night and

Achievements and performance
Summary ofthe main
achievements of the charity
during the year
The Rotary Club has four main committees." Foundation, Community.
Youth and Intemational.
As a member of Rotary Intemational we are requested to donate to the
Rl Foundation to enable them in tum to support projects all over the
worfd. We continue to support the Rotary Intemational's End Polio Now
project, vthose aim is to eradicate Polio the world over.
Our main work is in the local communty with families in need and those
escaping domestic abuse. At Chnstmas we provided over 300 Christmas
sacks WFth donated foods. clothes and presents as well as a supemiarket
voucher to enable the families lo buy their own essentials for the
Chnstmas perii)d. We also distribute donated Easter eggs. All our
families are referred to us by Social Workers and other professionals.
We collect and distribute essential items all year round to assist families
who have fallen upon hard times for a wide variety of reasons. This is
done on a case by case basis or through our weekly attendance at the
local Food Bank (when open). We distribLrte essential items such as
dothing. (including wami coats, hals, gloves. Sh￿S), bedding, towels,
crockery, small fvmrture and essential white goods.
When able, Y￿ hold Tea Dances for local dementia sufferers and their
carers. We support a local church. who provide a lunch on Boxing Day
for those who would otherwse be alone for Christmas.
The Club sponsored four young students to attend the Rotary Young
Leaders Awards. This week-long event puts teenagers together and
gives them the opportunrty to leam new lrfe skills and teamwork.
We supported many other local chanties and youth projects including
Chestnut Tree Hospice,. UK Harvest, another local Rolary Club providing
'Square Meals" during school holidays to children normally receiving free
school meals.
Intemationally we supported Lend with Care," BEATS; Kids for Kids: Tea
Leaf Trust and Mary's Meals. We also SUPFJOrted other Rotary Clubs in
their projects for the Beirut Disaster: Lesbos and India.

The trust has set a policy that any money raised should be used for
grants and donations. There should be no substantial reserves held. It
is the intention of the trust to distribute the majority of the annual income
to worthvthile causes each year.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
