## Annual report 2020 to 2021 

## **Summary** 

WDET investment capital rose from £779,506 on the 01/01/20 to £809,018 on the 01/01/2019. This represents an increase in investment capital of £29,512 and represents less than a 50% return compared to the previous year. 

However, when considering the combination effect of Brexit and COVID-19, the outcome is quite a relief overall (at the end of March 2020 we had dropped -12% but ended the year just below +6%). 

Monthly payouts from investments (including month interest payment) was made into the Trust’s deposit account totalling £13,869.63 by 01/01/2021 (a reduction of only £760 from the previous year). 

Total payouts in support of environmental projects totalled £4,448 (about a quarter of which we paid out in 2020) and £210 was spent on maintaining the Trust’s website (some of these payments were actually made before the end of the year 2020 but due to an administrative error due to Covid lockdown could not be entered last year). However, the opening balance was £30,655.15 and the closing balance was £26,009.01 and indicates only a £4,646.14 expenditure for the year.
