The primary focus of the FI￿ndatIon is to Sllp￿rt local (Surrey and adjoining CoutJtie6) ¢lwAtable organisalio
wO￿l￿g oll behalf of all tbe cor(￿V￿lty in nccd. Support ivÈll ￿ provided on a project basis rather than g#neral gift
givitig. The Foundation wishes to be associated with measurable activity wbich ¢aD be reported back to the memlxrs.
Smaller charities, whereby the Fourldation's contributions can make a significant difference, ivill be favoured over
largerorgaoisations.

from bank interesi. Total resourceg expended in the pertod amounted to £98,715 (2023.. £96,866) rcsultillg in a net
su&plus of £16.232 (2023: a net surylus of £2,861) with att urtrestrieted fund bal2n¢¢ of £99.782 (2023= £83,550) and
a restricted fulld balallce of £Nil (2023.. £Nil).
GOVERNANCE
As a resuli of their COEnmitment to best practice alld governauce, the TrLEStees colltinually Eeview the processes and
practice of tbe Foundation. tn 2021 tILe TTustees as￿ed a set of Policie5 alld Procedures for the Fo￿￿atIon and al80
formalis￿ a￿d adopted a Rxsk Regtster. These are subject to periodic review. with both revicwcd in July 2024.

The Trllstees are re￿onSible for enwring that tlLe chatity has an approNiate system of controls, fmallciel attd
otFLerwise. They are also responsible for Sdfrguarditig the assets of the charity and hence for thkttig re&sonable steps
for the pr¢veation of fraud and other iTreguldtities.

Thr Foundation is continually reviewing its reseryes wsition. tn 2020 the Tn￿le¢S Conwiissioned a full reserves
policy teview which was agreed and fonnalised in May 2020. Having referred io "The Chatity Commissiott.
Guidanee docutnent- Ckwity reserv￿ building reliance (CC19)" the Trustees agreed that the Foundation should be
assessed at very low if llot negligible risk. In Decejnber 2020, the Trnstees decided to maixilaiti a minimum balance
of £5,IM)O in reserves, inch￿illg £2,500 for tbe provision of operdtiag costs (inelllding proFessiooal lees and sundry
costs, sucb as printing and website Jnaintenance). It was agreed tbat the reserv￿ Icvel and position ivill be motjitorcd
and rriewed periodieally to refiect i￿t practice. The Re8erYes Policy w&8 reviewed in July 2024. and no challge
was proposed.
